I think people would be more willing to buy a Margarito fight than a Baldomir fight. Margarito is more appealing to the fans because of the ko factor.

Its Baldomire for sure. What are you guys even talking about? You act like were not hard core fans. Thats the only reason why we know Margarito. Baldy just had 2 big fights with Zab in NY & Gatti in AC and you think Margarito will now be a bigger draw then him? There is no way in hell that is true. There are alot more mainstream fans who now know of Baldy then they do Margaito. Alot more.

NY people watch Zab and everyone loves to watch Gatti. He also just had a exciting fight with Gatti which he won by KO. He also is has had 2 straight fights on HBO & Showtime while Margarito is fighting guys on ESPN.

Margarito also had to go all the way to PR to fight Santos so dont act like he is big. Baldy is by far the bigger name to the casual fan. No one knows Margarito except for us

This has nothing at all to do with being a Floyd fan. I think alot of you are getting confused with excitment and opponents. Theres a guy out there right now with a high KO rate but no one knows him because he fights B.S. opponents and isnt on TV.

Baldy just had 2 big fights against popular guys. Your going to tell me that if you walk down the street and ask someone that there wouldnt be a better chance of them know who Baldy was when he just beat Gatti & Zab? No casual fan knows who Margarito is unless there Mexican.

Zab was not that popular except to some hip hop heads and others. the most popular fighters are Mexicans. Not only is Marg's fanbase growing in the U.S., but it is huge in Mexico. Baldomir did beat the popular Gatti, but there's no evidence that gave him anymore fans than Margarito.

Baldomir has not even had a chance to prove his popularity.

As for casual fans, they don't mean anything hardly. There aren't even enough of them...and the ones that do exist damn sure don't know much about Baldomir. And until Baldy fights on PPV again, no one willknow if he grabbed any of Gatti's fans.

So until then, in terms of who is more-liked (popularity)... Margarito>Baldomir.

Your hackin on Marg's opponents is pathetic. Everyone knows is history and why he hasn't gotten big fights. Anytime he does get close to a big fight he is turned down, or not given any credit whatsoever (Cintron, who most said would KO Margarito).

Until it is known who Marg is fighting in Dec. and WHY, you should probably keep the ol mouth shut about Marg's opponents. At least Floyd is taking a respectable opponent even if he is avoiding Marg right now.

It's 50/50 in my eyes. Margarito has a larger following of mexican fan base.... however, Baldomir can be sold to the general pouplation better. They can mention big names of Gatti and Zab on his record and treat him as a cinderlla story. Margarito isn't known by **** in the general public, neither is Baldomir though.
