He got major exposure from the Errol Spence fight despite clearly underperforming and he should've tried to come back with a solid win that year to ride that wave. He completely dropped the ball on that one and whatever fanbase and attention he got from that event, he lost all of it again and now he has to start from scratch basically.

It's a sad thing and it's a common pattern with all the PBC fighters, it's like they're specialized in NOT riding the popularity wave to build superstars. It's really terrible to watch.
That’s the sad thing about a lot of these boxers, why sit on the shelf? Unless they are getting paid to do so. Even then you are right, their popularity would decrease.

Nothing wrong in signing a one or two fight deal, take your guarantee payday and be free thereafter.

I doubt it’s for Garcia vs. Taylor. Too many variables. Jose Ramirez probably wouldn’t be too happy with Team Garcia if they c**kblock a Taylor undisputed fight. Too big of a risk on Taylor’s part too. Ramirez vs. Taylor for all the belts is way bigger than Garcia vs. Taylor.

Gotta be Prograis at 140 or Hooker at 147. Maybe a long shot of Vargas at 147 or 150.

Hasn’t Manny’s deal with PBC been fulfilled? A fight with Mikey is still a possibility. Otherwise it is looking more like Mikey vs. Taylor and PAC vs. Porter or a rematch with Thurman. Khan is still a possibility too.

He seemed to be always on the fence on joining.. probably saw something to give it a go for a trial run.

Mikey Garcia is a great fighter. I look forward to seeing him rebuild at the weights he is most effective at. Josh Taylor would be a super, super-fight.

I was thinking that too. Jesse Vargas said on espn en espanol that his next fight was vs another mexican but that he couldnt spill the beans too early. Mikey Garcia came to mind, Jessie has the advantage if he stayed in shape this whole time and Mikey going to have to catch up fast. No cherry pick.
