This fight further proves that Spence never stood a chance against Crawford. He could just as easily walk Spence down. Spence doesn’t hit as hard as Kavaliuaskas, but he does have better stamina, but he also can’t fight for sht while being pushed back.

Not sure what fight you were watching but I do have ESPN plus. I guess a guy that fought to a draw against Ray Robinson hits harder than Spence at Welterweight. Didn’t Ugas stop Ray Robinson before Ray Robinson fought Kavaliuaskas. And I believe Ugas only has a 39% KO percentage.

Now Kavaliuaskas has a 73% KO percentage but Spence has a 81% KO Percentage. Spence has stopped guys like Algeria, Peterson, Brook, Vargas. As a matter of fact Spence in the last 5 years has stopped 9 out of 11 opponents. In the past 5 years Kavaliuaskas stopped 9 out of 14 opponents. Who did you say hits harder again, Spence or Kavaliuaskas? That’s what I thought, numbers don’t lie.

And like I stated before as someone who is a bigger fan of Crawford then Spence, Bud isn’t walking down Spence. I have to be very objective as a fan not go off emotions. True Spence was challenged in his last fight by Porter and showed difficulty against a very aggressive opponent who comes forward all night. But Porter is much more aggressive and dangerous and has fought better overall opposition at Welterweight than Kavaliuaskas but Spence still came out victorious. It’s easy to say if Bud would have beaten Porter but he hasn’t fought him yet so we don’t know how well he would do until that fight takes place. But we did see tonight that Bud got tagged repeatedly by Kavaliuaskas and hurt and knocked down. Still a good win by Bud but he doesn’t want to be that reckless and careless against Spence, that’s my point. I guarantee Bud will box Spence and pick his spots to be aggressive should they fight.

I can understand the difficulty of his situation, but there's no room for stubbornness in sports. Fighting the best and making $$$ should be his biggest objectives, and they usually intersect. It's time for Crawford vs. the PBC stable because he has no other compelling match-ups at WW. I don't care if it's Crawford vs. Ugas, just fight one of them.

Floyd was getting timed and hit all night against Cotto.. made no difference in the outcome because ultimately skills pay the bills, and Bud is a lot more skilled than Spence...

I may have said that before the Kavaliuaskas fight because I’m a huge fan of Bud. But I didn’t see a guy tonite that has “clear cut” better skills than Spence. Maybe you were watching a past Bud fight like against Khan or Horn. But Spence had a much tougher fight against Porter, a guy that has been in the ring with all the top welterweights. We don’t know how well Bud would fare against the likes of Porter. A lot more skilled than Spence is hyperbole which means a great exaggeration. It’s having no objectivity as a fan when you say “a lot more skilled.”

And Kavaliuaskas is no future HOF’er like Miguel Cotto. So their is a huge difference with a top welterweight and P4P fighter being timed and tagged and dropped and hurt by a guy named Kavaliuaskas who fought to a draw against Ray Robinson. And didn’t Ugas stopped Ray Robinson and doesn’t Ugas only have a 39% KO percentage. And remember Ugas fought a close fight with Porter. So don’t give me the Cotto vs Mayweather comparison with Bud vs Kavaliuaskas, that’s laughable. Kavaliuaskas is no Miguel Cotto, LOL!!!

And I’m sorry, Bud’s skills was a little off tonight against a guy that hasn’t really been in the ring with anyone as a “professional at welterweight” and I am not talking about his amateur background. Arum and Bud and novice fight fans can throw that in to justify that Kavaliuaskas was a top caliber challenge. Spence has fought way higher opposition in the professional ranks than Kavaliuaskas ever has and probably is chopping at the bit now to fully recover based on what he saw tonight. Spence knows Bud can be hit often and hurt at Welterweight. We have never seen Spence hurt or dropped yet at Welterweight. As a matter of fact we saw him eat a lot of hard shots against Porter and still dropped him late to get the victory against Porter. Again we don’t know how well Bud will do against Porter until they fight.

The other thing worth noting. The stance Bud was getting tagged repeatedly in tonite against Kavaliuaskas and the stance he got hurt and dropped in was the southpaw stance. Spence fights southpaw.

I think people dont realize how good the dude he faught is.dude was a two time Olympian on a tremendous winning streak, n crawford fought ******... porter beats him if he fights like he did tonight

The thing about Spence is he had already admitted willfully that because he has to lose so much weight he can only performed at 70-80% of his ability at 147. He knows full well he can't beat Crawford at that level. He'd really have to ask to fight Crawford at a catch weight...

That's Spence's own fault for being an alcoholic and being undisciplined outside of camp.
