Every TV network, fighter, manager and promoter on the planet would rather feature a WBA world championship than an IBO championship, even if the WBA has a super champion in that division.
Not only do you hear about the IBO on television but also these days those clowns talk lineal.

Man, you're about as opaque as glass.
No, what I'm saying is that out of the 7 world titles, Joshua holds three of the four most important ones, but I'm hoping the number will still be reduced lower than 7. Yes Wilder has the most important one, but historically, being unified WBA/IBF champion is more prestigious than being just the WBC champion.

Even the DAZN broadcasts do not list the IBO title in their graphics. Yes you hear the ring announcer mention it, but the networks do not recognize the IBO as a world championship.

But nowadays, everyone (probably) considers the WBA super belt more legitimate than the WBA belt, if both exist in one division. There shouldn't be an asteriks for Joshuas WBA world champion.
Yes the Super WBA title is considered more prestigious than the WBA world title, but all WBA champions have an asterisk now because the WBA crowns four world champions in every division. If you're not even the undisputed champion of the WBA, how can you really try to become the undisputed champion of the world? It's not Joshua's fault, but you can't blame people for considering the IBF title more prestigious now than basically being half or one quarter of the WBA champion.

You can argue if you want whether the IBO should be a world title, but the fact is that it's not. Plenty of credible fighters have held minor unrecognized titles. For instance, the list of former IBA champions includes:

              Oscar DeLa Hoya
              Roy Jones Jr.
              James Toney
              George Foreman
              Mikkel Kessler
              Glen Johnson
              Joel Casamayor
              Erik Morrales
              Arturo Gatti
              Diego Corrales
              Shane Mosley
              Antonio Tarver
              Jose Luis Castillo
              Fernando Vargas

I simply don't wish do "defend" IBO here (as the IBO belt seems to be a title for "bad weather")... I only found an opportunity to look back a little in sport's history, tbh...

Trying so hard to talk down on the IBO because wilder doesn't have it is a dead agenda.
