Comments Thread For: Crawford Rejects "Wrong Side of Street" Talk For PBC Fighters
Collapse

Loma and Crawford are A-side fighters they don't need to go on another network unless it's a joint PPV. Stevenson, Conlan, and Ramirez aren't big enough names yet and aren't being sought out by other networks' fighters.Comment

They weren't in the same weight class until one year ago. As soon as Crawford moved up to welterweight and became an option Pacquiao decided that his contract with TR was finished.Comment

Ya Khan is a paycheck, that's all.
Crawford fighting Khan indicates Top Rank will do business with fighters outside their own stable.
PBC WWs do not fight non-pbc guys. Its patheticComment

Wilder is a bigger star than Fury, but the numbers are close enough, and Wilder still wants the fight badly enough, that 50/50 was something Wilder and his camp to swallow.Crawford couldn't have said it Any Better....
Wilder(PBC)...Fury(Arum)...they made this fight Happen...So why is it that Spence... Pacquaio... Thurman... Garcia vs Crawford get Done?....
That "Wrong side of the Street" Excuse has been Exposed....
Spence... Thurman.... Garcia...and Possibly Pacquaio have Deep Doubts about beating Crawford...
The Only 3 Champion Fighters I give Respect to is Crawford....Wilder and Canelo....
They don't DUCK ANYBODY....
Terence Crawford is nowhere near that with the 4 top draws under PBC, and doesn't want the smoke with Shawn Porter (the only top guy basically at his money level).
That's just the truth.
Crawford is a 30/70 fighter against Pacquiao and Spence, and is likely a 40/60 fighter against Danny Garcia and Thurman, nevermind the split for fights against Porter, Broner, and Mikey.

That's because Fury vs Wilder sells to the general public. Crawford doesnt. And the PBC guys arent even very good when they do.
The money isnt there yet because Bud hasn't fought anyone of note. Atleast noone to turn him into a superstar yet.Comment

And at the same time you are one of the guys that thinks Wilder deserves 50-50 against Joshua. You are all over the place with your opinions. They seem to change drastically depending on which PBC or none PBC fighters you are talking about.Wilder is a bigger star than Fury, but the numbers are close enough, and Wilder still wants the fight badly enough, that 50/50 was something Wilder and his camp to swallow.

It's different, because, though not the top level yet, Jermall Charlo is drawing money and seeing his pots grow with every event.
The same can't be said for Crawford, a 32 year old fighter supposed to be heading into his money drawing prime, who's basically stalled out with no chances to really grow without crossing over.Comment

Terence Crawford is allegedly getting $3m per fight, for a max of 3 dates per year, for the next 5 years (PPV bump on top of this guarantee, but let's be real about the no PPV upside coming). He chose to re-sign with Top Rank. He saw how Bradley career went.
Arum turned down fights with Brook and Porter both who mentioned fighting TC
At this point its 100% his fault.
But im very curious about who advised him to re-sign with Arum in the first place.
And on another note yall guys hate PBC so much yall ignore Arum's vintage BS
Same BS he pulled when Floyd was ready to fight Manny in 2010 b4 he went to jail.
But he was waiting for some fantasy stadium to be built as soon as Floyd called his Bluff.
Wake TF up. Arum is and will always be shady.
This guy turning down fights for TC but pushing the anti-PBC narrative cuz he knows fans will eat it up and not see the BS Arum does in plain sight
That's a possible $45m, for a guy who wants to just fight, and severely bristles at even doing any of the puff media stuff to sell the events.
Let's be real; anyone can see what Crawford is doingComment

60/40 Joshua was a fair split for the fight Fall 2018; doubt that that's even arguable.
And, if Wilder's camp really did front Anthony Joshua $50m, 50/50 against $50m to Anthony Joshua was fair as well.
Talks happen today, on an honest deal, a fair split on the fight is like between 60/40 Joshua and 55/45 Joshua, with the fight held in the United States.
If you're still on that flat fee nonsense, that's on you.Comment
