Because Crawford can’t even generate more than 150K PPV buys my brotha.

When TR had Pac it was mostly in house fight or somebody not associated with a big promotional company. Now every other good WW is with PBC. It is Top Rank fault for having a history of being difficult to negotiate with.

Too bad for Bud that he signed with that company, Bob Arum is a cancer.

Crawford should have been a big star by now just like Canelo if he retired the number 2 all time great Pacman 3 years ago! Another $10M Bob Arum mistake?

"Well, Deontay Wilder is about to fight Tyson Fury and you never hear about any 'sides of the street.' It's just something people say when it comes to Terence Crawford"

If that fight happens, then he'll have half a point. If that fight doesn't happen, however, I'm sure it'll be a wrong side of the street thing as much as anything. Of course, Wilder/Fury II is about finishing up business from before Fury was on the other side of the street. And, as another poster pointed out, when Terence Crawford got himself on the other side of the street from everyone of note in the WW division, there's a reason people say it when it comes to him. Yes, those fights are possible... But they're more difficult to make because of where he chose to sign.

Going beyond that, Crawford isn't profitable either, and hasn't fought a a name worth mentioning since he was at 140. I don't see how he's the boogeyman when the unified champ is across the aisle racking up quality wins. If Crawford was a moneymaker with some prestige in the division, that would make other fighters chase him, but he's spending most of his time of the shelf complaining that guys won't fight him. You have to take a loss in order to get an opportunity to fight the money man (it's how Mayweather became the #1 draw), but he's likely not going to do that.

But I do want to see how Crawford does against the PBC guys so he can't quit complaining. Crawford is a good fighter but his resume isn't all that great so I want to see how he does to see if that record is legit.

Should we say the same thing about Charlo at middleweight then?

So what you're saying is that Top Rank is so determined to keep things in house that their entire company policy is to keep things in house?

And we're then supposed to criticize others for keeping things in house?

This is Hayman getting back at Arum for 09-12 when TR gave us a round robin that included Margarito, Mosley, Clottey, Rios, Pacquiao, Bradley, and Cotto. At this current time, there is no need for PBC to share the stage with TR in the WW division. They are loaded. Get over it. TR did the same thing in the past. So until Bud signs with PBC or becomes a star, don't expect Spence-Crawford anytime soon.

In regards to Fury and Wilder, the HW division is weak and they have no other choice. They need each other to stay relevant.
