AJ came back from defeat when many wrote him off and put on a master display ,got multiple belts back and had tremendous pressure in a fight millions around the world were watching.

AJ is the clear choice no one else had the pressure to do what he did ,Canelo comes close but its different getting back a world title after a knockout loss .

I don't even know what that means in relevance to fighter of the year and the year is over ? He did win and did something very few Heavyweights in history did. . Ha

Pacquiao defeated Broner and Thurman. He has the most significant win - Thurman.

Canelo did beat Jacobs and Kovalev. But the Kovalev fight felt like a cherry pick.

                    it defeats the purpose imo
