Why is Joshua excused for losing to Ruiz?

I would take another fight that would help me at the negotiating table, which is exactly what Fury and Wilder did.

You'd take a fight that you are more likely to lose over the easier with more money? If you beat Joshua you become a much bigger draw anyway. You're talking nonsense.Comment

He's only 2 time because he lost to the blob, that's doesn't make it better it makes it worse.Comment

Maybe Wilder and Fury thought they would win both fights.
Since Joshua is the one that allows for a massive purse, it would be worth taking the fight that helps at the negotiating table.
Worst case scenario is a loss and you have to take what Joshua was offering previously.

What you think they'd get offered the same by Joshua if they lose? They won't be in the conversation.Maybe Wilder and Fury thought they would win both fights.

Joshua would fight Fury and Wilder even if they lost a fight.
It’s the two biggest fights he can make.
And they would actually make more than the offers Joshua originally made anyway. They’re both making more than the offers Joshua originally made to fight other fighters.

I think he needs to be given proper credit for the way he came back. It’s not jumping on his d#ck, it’s just understanding what he just did.
Joshua is far from a perfect boxer we know this, but he almost pitched a shutout after getting utterly obliterated. That’s hard to do.
“Of the ten occasions a losing world heavyweight champion has attempted to regain their belt in an immediate rematch, only three have been successful, five lost and two drew.“
I got that from an article written here earlier this month. https://www.boxingscene.com/heavywei...ows-us--144756
The fact that this was against Ruiz is irrelevant I think. There are numerous occasions throughout history where a seemingly superior boxer loses in great fashion to a seemingly inferior boxer. Blame it on an off night for the better boxer, blame it on a great night for the inferior boxer.Comment
