Great win by the champ!
Thats it alright. When you trainer knows the most likely way Joshua is going to box, and everyone warns you of the dangers of the Buster Douglas effect, and you just go ahead and do it anyway, you cant claim these as excuses. These are personal failures, there are no excuses for accepting the cliche.

Doesnt make AR a bad person, he seems a nice guy with good team, but setting yourself up to lose? Crazy.

If Ruiz didn’t train and overlooked his opponent, he’s incredibly ******

AJ made no excuses. This guy is churning them out.

It was obviously not going to be the same.

He doesn’t seem the brightest bulb. As a prizefighter he’s already won the game. Needs to be sensible win some fights and he’ll likely get another £10 mill from AJ at some point.

You burn you bridges a bit when you make excuses a bit. He’d have been better off tipping his hat and saying things like this behind closed doors.

        Nobody likes excuses.

Ruiz is a liar. In the build up it was “ a more intense, longer, harder training camp”. It was “People think I’ve lost a lot of weight but I haven’t lost that much weight, i’ll come in around the same as the first fight”. He was ”busting” his ”ass” in training for the rematch. Now it’s ”i didn’t train”.

I thought Ruiz was going to come in at about 250, maybe 255. I picked him to defend his title until the weigh in. I then knew he was going to be outworked and beat. It was fairly obvious to anyone that follows this sport.

Exactly that! PBC propaganda is so effective, it affected one of their own-Andy- instead of "the enemy". It backfired brilliantly.

'Bounce back' he's in the condition to bounce alright. He was an absolute disgrace to the sport. So glad the Saudis payed for this shyte and not me travelling down to Wembley to see Laurel and Hardy perform.Joshua looked scared to death and only the obese creature kept him out of trouble with his lack of mobilty......pathetic !

Well, for one thing, Andy should stop eating so much, and actually train properly. He doesn't have to look like Evander Holyfield, but at least not so fat.
