Nah, he clearly did the best his pos fat body could. Why would he risk knocking out AJ when he's being paid to lose?

Manny: I feel better than ever! God will deliver him unto me!

Bob Arum: You have to understand, I was his promoter for 10 and a half years, I know, I've seen slippage, I've never seen Manny punch this fast!

          ** After the fight **

          Manny: My shoulder...

Bob Arum: Well, there were some injuries and we don't know how that affected the fight, so

          Roach:

I'm not, I knew Ruiz was talking rubbish about the reasons for weighing in so heavy but a lot of people thought he was playing mind games with his weight. You even had some people saying nonsense about his sombrero weighing 5-10 lbs

I’m sure that cash is gonna melt like crazy. If you give me 10 million, I’ll have 30 millions in ten years time. But clowns like this simply blow it all.

If what you say is true, that is a serious crime that will send both Hearn and Ruiz to prison for a long time. I don't believe Hearn would risk it. But, whether deliberate or not, that only underscores my point, that Andy Ruiz, cheated and disrespected the public by coming in ill-prepared.

You can jump on Ruiz for being out of shape, but truth is even the version of him who won the title would struggle with this version of AJ (and im not a biased AJ fan).

The best version of Ruiz would simply be too slow of foot and too short to get to the stick and move AJ we saw yesterday- especially in that massive ring.

We can get angry all we want about his weight, but even if he came in at 250 his natural limitations wouldve kept him as an underdog to the taller, faster, stick and move fighter.

Of course you would. Everyone on boxing scene is a financial genius.

Or a doctor. Or a lawyer. Or a fitness guru.

                  Party On, Andy!!!

Ruiz is getting the last laugh on all of us. He is taking his ample rear end and laughing all the way to the bank to cash the check that he did not earn.

Makes you respect someone like Canelo who hit it big very young but still is dedicated and works hard every fight.
You have guys like Ruiz and Buster Douglas on one end and then the Bhop’s, Floyd’s, and Canelo type guys on the other.
Canelo got duped along with the rest of us. He travelled all the way to Saudi Arabia to attend the fight in support of Andy Ruiz. Little did he know that Ruiz did not prepare. As you point out, that is the antithesis of the way Canelo prepares for a fight. He has to much respect for the sport, his opponents, the public and himself to not prepare.
