By his own admission, Ruiz did not prepare for this fight in a professional manner. People paid their hard-earned money to watch this fight. At a minimum they expected both fighters to be prepared. One was and the other was not. Ruiz cheated the public as well as himself. This level of disrespect does not go unnoticed. Andy Ruiz does not deserve another big payday.

I honestly don’t think Ruiz cares if he won or lost. He went from a thousandare to a millionaire overnight. Win or lose his profile was raised and he’ll get a few more Haymon paydays.
Makes you respect someone like Canelo who hit it big very young but still is dedicated and works hard every fight.
You have guys like Ruiz and Buster Douglas on one end and then the Bhop’s, Floyd’s, and Canelo type guys on the other.

Lets be honest, Ruiz fought like a tomato can, Joshua fought stiff as hell and scared, any top heavyweight from the 1970's
would have beat the sh_t out of both of them.

I am very happy AJ won because now we can get wilder and AJ, fury and AJ etc. We know wilder would blast Ruiz out and the AJ wilder hype is back on again!

Ruiz and Team Ruiz all are at fault here .... How may examples does a guy need to see, where someone hits the jackpot and then, through ******ity, loses it all and becomes a joke.

AJ will not grant a third fight unless it was in the contract, otherwise forget about it!

Ruiz, not only loss focus, he loss a whole lot more. Didn't train for the biggest fight of his career, and came in so fat that he didn't want to take his clothes off during the weigh-in.

If the goal was to cash out ... then winning the second fight would have secured a small fortune through potential big money fights. Now, the future is very uncertain, because when Ruiz needed discipline, there was and remains a void.

That had to be the shortest Champion's reign in history.

I don't think anyone would object if Ruiz loss the second fight because AJ ran all night and jabbed his way to victory. But to lose because you didn't train, and was so morbidly obese that you couldn't keep up is just plain disgusting.

Sometimes, all it takes to determine one's intelligence is looking at their facial expression.

Not to mention the care for their bodies.

He would be better off not saying anything. People said everything he's saying and he denied it. No excuses. He's a one hit wonder and that's how he will go down in history.
