Wilder was ready for this fight and even to go to Russia and fight him? And then Povetkin tested positive.

If Povetkin was cleared of any wrongdoing as you say, tell me why they had to pay Wilder in damages?
You really is a casual fan that know nothing tbh.
On the contrary, wilder paid pov $5mil in compensation.
Go make your findings and come back, boy.

Looks like you don't know what you're talking about.
      In time for the fight?

Besides, after you go to lawsuits, you aren't in the best of relationships to go ahead with a fight at a later date. Didn't the Miller fight halt as soon as there were positive results? Had UKAD raised the alarm and informed Rivas, he might have pulled out too. Whatever the results that come 6 months or one year later.

The WBC withdrew its sanctioning of the Wilder-Povetkin fight.

That happened for the Ortiz fight too. Wilder then went and gave him two fights. Why didn't he do that for Povetkin? How is it Wilder ha had 10 defences and only fought 2 top 10 HW's and avoided all the ones i listed who have been fighting each other. Wilder is protected. The WBC made the Fury fight mandatory so Wilder could avoid Whyte until 2021.

Emm..because Ortiz is with the PBC? because there were no lawsuits in that case?

You asked why Wilder did not fight those you listed, I agree there are two HW divisions
          1. Eddie Hearn Division
          2. PBC (to make it broader, US) division.

I don't believe any of those are any better than Ortiz or Fury. If they were with PBC, you would have seen those fights. We all saw the politics that came with the Oritiz-Joshua fight. Ruiz was allowed because he wasn't a prized PBC fighter and not even in top 10 at that time.

WBC, WBA, IBF, etc. are all for-profit companies. They'll do whatever it takes to maximize their profits. So are the broadcasters and distributors.

In short, a fight happening or not is not simply down to the two fighters. Many other people are involved.
