AJ did what he had to do. Fine. But Ruiz was a damn shame, not training for real.

It's a shame that we pretty clearly didn't see both fighters at their best, and can't know how it would have played out. If they were both at their best I'm sure AJ would get much more credit for the win.

But it wasn't AJ that came in out of condition. That's on Ruiz. AJ did everything you might have expected of him and deserves every bit of credit for that.
