That was some decent boxig by Joshua, but disappointed in Ruiz. He told one interviewer that he basically trained himself for the rematch. He obviously didn't really prepare properly, just enjoying the newfound riches. I don't think we need to see a third fight as it will look similar to this fight. AJ can box but I don't know if he beats Fury, and if Wilder catches him, it's probably over.

The biggest risk for AJ would have been -- as you allude -- to let his pride get involved and got into a fire-fight late on.Comment

Ruiz gets schooled by Fury and knocked out by Wilder. I'm beginning to think that just maybe Fury beats everybody.Comment

I definitely gave Ruiz 2 rounds but that was it. Styles make fights and not every fighter can knock out every person opposite; everyone has at least one that just seems to have their number if they don't adapt. Unlike the 1st fight Joshua used his attributes well and kept his discipline to win extremely clearly.Comment

Sometimes as in the case tonight you want to support the underdog and think the fairy tale can continue but its all about ability and dedication.Joshua had that in abundance tonight whereas Ruiz let himself down with the discipline side. I think in flashes Ruiz showed he was dangerous and given a more arduous training camp could have done better tonight?Comment

Ruiz looked the more dangerous fighter in every single round. If there was a 3rd fight, it would be a 50/50 fight again.
Joshua got the win, so well done 'he executed his game plan better etc' But this rematch win is by no means on the level of Lennox Lewis vs Hasim Rahnman, or Wladimir Kiltschko vs Lamon Brewster.
Joshua for me, seems to have less believe in his power and offense.
All of these big heavyweights are flawed, none of them are massively that good 'Wilder, Joshua or Fury' good job they are fighting in this era.Comment
