To be fair he did look like shyt when he first arrived in Saudi Arabia but he's looking better and healthier as the week progresses in the videos of him I saw. He's in terrific shape.

The question is where he is mentally. Sometimes I think his weirdness is just his way of coping with all this pressure, other times I think he looks underwhelmed and unsure.

        Solid post. Good points.

I think he's at an ideal weight but I believe he got there too quick and the physical strain seems to show up in his face. We'll find out if it matters come the weekend.

Muscles take a lot more to feed than flab, they also weigh a lot more.

I think what a lot of people are responding to regarding Joshua is the look in his eyes. It is not about how he looks physically, just the way he seems to have a certain resignation.

You know...that could be why he has that look in his eyes. I think you might be onto something here Red. He may have drained a bit and it may be fatiging him mentally.

It's the kind of thing my grandmother would say but, you really can see stress in people's faces. Dropping muscle is not like dropping fat. You feel really weak after. The body fights major changes. It wouldn't shock me if his stamina is worse after this because he hasn't had time to adapt.

Also, remember what happens to guys who get big, then try to go back down. Like Roy. The body just doesn't like that shyt.
AJ might ending up doing fine. I picked him to win. But, I'd be shocked if he was feeling great right now.

Aren't they just using really excellent drugs to morph and re-morph their bodies? Don't drugs allow the body to easily adapt to "major changes?"

I realize I'm cynical. But is there any meaningful drug testing going on here at all?

Yea, I'm fairly certain he was on PEDs. But, the drop in size still hurts. I've done it a couple times back when I was using and you feel strangely weak, even though you're still big.
