I think comparing Hearn to King is disrespectful to King. Don King invented the PPV and made the biggest fights.....Hearn just talks about revolutionizing format and making the biggest fights.

      Outside of that I don't really give a ****.

Sleazy promoter like the rest of them but unlike the rest of them he seems young enough to see how the game is played in the modern day. Hes out there promoting his fighters, paying them, getting them good fights, getting them title opportunities. As far as i can see he is the man at the moment in regards to promoting.

Played it not to well stepping in to America though, he went in all brash and loudmouthed. Everybody knows Americans got a massive ego and they like their ego to be stroked alot. So rather than go in with the BRITS TAKING OVER nonsense he should of gone in dressed like Apollo Creed or Don King and been all about MAKING AMERICAN BOXING GREAT AGAIN.

So even if it's not ultimately a success, it's still very impressive that he managed to get the deal to begin with and it's not his fault it was doomed from the start.

Hearn does a great job of seeming like a man of the people. Getting his message out there. A master politician. He creates and propagates cleverly designed talking points better than anybody in boxing and does a better job than anybody in boxing of getting his fanbase to memorize and parrot those talking points. Just like a successful politician building his base of supporters.

What he's built in the UK is very impressive as well. He's clearly one of the best promoters in the world, if not the best. The only knock on him really is that he's young and got too ****y. Made some serious mistakes with AJ that he may never recover from.

You clearly don't understand what a promoter's job is.

There's no way to praise a promoter without praising his ability to influence and manipulate others. That is his primary job.

No different to any other promoter really

One good thing I’ll say about him is that you never really hear of any of his fighters or ex fighters taking him to court for screwing them over like loads did with Warren. I think he’s pretty straight in that respect and does a good job for his fighters.

But aside from that, he’s just a promoter. It’s had to be a promoter not come across as a bit sleazy and a hypocrite at times. It’s just part of the job. He’s a good interviewee though and can be funny.
