Financial bloodbath: Wilder Ortiz 138,000 PPV Buys

Deotnay Wilder is a fake fraud pretender protected by a corrupt cabal of Haymon, Finkel, Sulaiman, Espinoza. These crooks thought they could fabricate a fake KO King and earn billions. But the public aint ****** anymore after the Mayweather fraud show.

Wilder is being rejected, the Ortiz fake dive KO attracted only 138,000 suckers according to Rick Glaser, boxing insider. Fox invested heavily in the fake sparring session but fans rejected the fake fraud WWF staged set up.

Wilder vs Fury is now in major jeopardy as neither Wilder or Fury can draw a fraction of what Joshua does. Who will put up the money to stage the Wilder Fury fixed rematch after seeing how disastrously badly Wilder vs Ortiz did? Only an idiot.

Wilder will have to be sacrificed to Joshua in 2020. The fake fraud Wilder project has been a complete failure.

The fight was real not fake. Wilder damn near took his head off. If they were trying to build up Wilder why have him losing almost every round??????

I highly doubt the numbers were even that good. If they were, they would have already came out with them. Wilder lost every round to an old man before the KO...on the co-main event of a flopping PPV

Wilder is still building his brand. The big money fights will be Ruiz, Fury, AJ.

No doubt Wilder vs Ortiz was a financial bloodbath for PBC/Fox because it should never have been a PPV fight. Neither of them can draw flies to **** on their own, so they were never going to do it together.

But Fury is a different animal to Ortiz in every way, not only a much better fighter, but a fighter with a wide and growing fan base. The first Fury/Wilder fight did around twice as many PPVs as Wilder/Ortiz. Fury knows how to sell a fight. The rematch will be much bigger and sell a lot better now that he has a real fan base in the US, thanks to his WWE involvement and teasing of UFC fans.

I'm a big Wilder fan. If it's truly 138k, that is a disaster for Wilder and PBC. It will also take a massive cut out of the over air Fox/FS1 boxing schedule for 2020. It's taking a massive cut of their boxing budget.
Wilder was reportedly guaranteed $20 million and Ortiz got $7 million (overpaid as a reward for not taking the Joshua fight June 1st). Even if Fox got 60% of PPV revenue (definitely high), that's only $6.2 million in PPV revenue. The gate reportedly wasn't great as they were giving away tickets. Maybe there's some overseas revenue on top of that. (Wilder also gets a cut of this PPV revenue IIRC.)

Best case, Fox/BBC will be in the red at least $15 million. Assuming Wilder-Fury 2 goes forward Feb 22nd, they might be able to make some money on that fight (splitting PPV revenue with ESPN and I assume both fighters getting a cut). But a $15m loss kills the Fox/PBC budget to put good fighters on free TV and basic cable.
