            definitely agree on this statement

One of the weakest cards in recent memory

43 fights in and "TIL THIS DAY" still building his brand...WTF kinda weak excuse is this?

But Fury is a different animal to Ortiz in every way, not only a much better fighter, but a fighter with a wide and growing fan base. The first Fury/Wilder fight did around twice as many PPVs as Wilder/Ortiz. Fury knows how to sell a fight. The rematch will be much bigger and sell a lot better now that he has a real fan base in the US, thanks to his WWE involvement and teasing of UFC fans.
Fury SHOULD get more $ than Wilder just based off the bolded. Wilder ttalks too much at his press conferences. Its cringe worthy when he tries to use metaphors and rhymes. they should let Fury do all the talking for the rematch lol

                  No wonder Showtime passed.
That would be around $11.5 million in PPV revenue. The network takes their 50% off the top. That’s not even enough to cover purses for the fighters. The live gate wasn’t that great as they had to slash prices fight week and gave away a lot of tickets.
Very little chance Fox or PBC made any profit. They better hope Wilder/Fury 2 happens and does well to recoup money.

To fight Fury Wilder is going to demand around the same purse. Which means Fury will be making around the same AMOUNT as Wilder. Aka they will need around 1m PPV buys just to break even. Although the gate and UK revenue will be a lot higher.
