I don’t know that anyone will reach Mayweather’s level of success on ppv. Wilder will do fine on PPV as long as he fights people fans want to see.

The wilder/ fury fight will do good numbers. If Ruiz upsets AJ again, the Wilder/Ruiz ppv will do good numbers as well.

Wilder imo will do In the neighborhood of 350k max with these opponents. I can’t ever see him eclipsing this.

PPV in USA is dead because there are no superstars to sell, just fake pretenders like canelo, wilder, spence, floyd.

I agree ppv is dying but I heard from several people that are now into boxing because his knockouts. Much like when Tyson was fighting. All his fights end with a highlight real type knockout. He also has been very consistent. People that normally didn't watch boxing are discussing his fights the next day.

Talking about a knockout and paying $79.99 right before the holidays are two different things.
Wilders fight and Canelo/Kov all had the knockout highlight within minutes on Twitter of the fight ending.
No one asked for this rematch and most casuals or even mainstream boxing fans don’t know and don’t care about who he is fighting.
It’s not all on Wilder, this is just a weak era for Heavyweights.

You aren't paying attention apparently. The vocal majority and probably half the thread starters on this site are rooting against some boxer, some promoter or some platform. It's f#cking weirdo sh^t but too many mfers are invested in failure around here.

It's not that PPV is dead it's just that these promoters won't get off their lazy asses and promote the fights and their fighters properly.

Definitely some truth in this. The more promoters have signed more guys to multi-year deals the less actual promoting they seem to do. Which likely helped open the door for a guy like Al who's not promoting either but is letting you take home more of your money.

Boxing would be better off if promoters just made specific fights and weren't invested in the success of specific boxers they got some 3 year deal with.
