Just one question. Do you guys/gals think this should be a good fight? If yes or not, why comment on the corrupt system that will keep creating meaniless belts. why not focus on the fight and comment on the fighters and how the fight could develop. It was a time that HBO didn't mention the belts that were on the line when fought in their network.

Solid matchup. Bes***** has great footwork but he seems to bust up a bit and can get discouraged and I dont think he has the firepower to offset Ugas consistency. Ugas by decision or late stoppage.

It's like the WBA Super Champion is the Champion, the Regular Champion is #1 Contender and the #1 Contender has a shot at the Regular or Interim Title..

Dont ask me how the Interim Title works.
            You're right.

Pacquiao was the WBA "regular" champion and Thurman was the WBA "super" champion when they fought.

Those belts should be unified now. Why the hell did the WBA make the "regular" belt available again, so soon after that fight?

They were obviously lying when they said they were going to reduce their number of titles to one per weight class.

Guess they were banking on people having short attention spans and forgetting. I wish someone in the boxing media would ask WBA president Gilberto Mendoza Jr some hard questions about this issue.

I have being a fan for over 55 years. Never seen this kind of discussions so often. Actually that's all they talk on any boxing site. How much do they make, high risk low reward, he is the A and the other is the B side. He have to fight someone else before getting a shot. So many $h1t, they are not promoters nor boxers and neither fans. If I pay for a boxing match, I want to see the best available fighters fight each other.

WBA. Super Regular and Interim champ

Why? Pac & Thurman both held WBA titles when they fought

Pacquiao won. They don't need ANOTHER WBA title holder.

                It's so ridiculous

what I want to know is why is the WBA the only org that does this BS?

                    ^this.

Ca$ual Fan - I said the exact same thing 2 posts above.

ShoulderRoll - Dan Rafael has been wondering the same thing. I don't get why the WBA insists on this nonsense.

and yes same deal when GGG fought Jacobs, both were WBA titlists GGG "unifies" the WBA just created another WBA regular title @ Middleweight

**What's the point in unifying WBA belts if the WBA just creates another title starting the process all over again?

if promoters were smart, they wouldn't pay the sanctioning fees for the WBA Regular title

Well... I have been a fight fan for 40 years... since the age of ten. Maybe that's why we agree; we're old school!
