Pac & Thurman "unified" WBA belts, here's the WBA again creating another title

**I thought they made a statement a couple years back claiming they'd cut back on title belts in their own organization

      fake news
I was hoping they would only make a new 'regular' champion when the current WBA holder attempts to unify, wins and owns another belt - well no need to be a unified champ to become 'super' Actually, making 'super' and 'regular' is already bad enough now they just move another step further with their corruption.

So the WBA claimed it would only have 1 belt holder, what, 2 years now? Manny and Thurman just unified the Super and Regular titles.. then outta nowhere these 2 fight for the same regular title a year later?

It's like the WBA Super Champion is the Champion, the Regular Champion is #1 Contender and the #1 Contender has a shot at the Regular or Interim Title..

Dont ask me how the Interim Title works.

This should go on the ESPN/FOX Wilder/Fury 2 undercard. I hope Arum makes a play for Crawford/Porter for that card too if Bud doesn't take too much punishment in his next fight.

Agree 100%! I wouldn't mind Gary Russell Jr. vs. Shakur Stevenson either!

Not trying to defend WBA's corrupt system, just saying those things happened before
You can unify a regular if a super title doesn’t exist in the division.

Great shout with that one. If they stack this card am sure they could do 1.5m PPV.

They probably won't! I'm sure Warren will want to put someone we don't want to see in there with someone irrelevant! Still hopeful for at least Bes***** vs. Ugas!

Maybe as per WBA rules. But those examples I mentioned, there was an existing ‘super’ champion.

Chris John was a ‘super’ champ that time when Gamboa was IBF and WBA ‘regular’. The weird thing is, the super champ wasn’t the unified champ but rather the regular was
