Not sure who I'm picking on Ruiz-Joshua II

Joshua could win but he'd have to do things I've never seen him do before in order to do it. On top of that, that's exactly the type of fight Andy is expecting and has been training for (Joshua moving and fighting from a distance).

Might take Andy to repeat on this one tbh....

What do you guys think? I'm not really looking for the emotional UK posts or the PBC cum garglers input, just real conversation.

AJ can outbox him if he uses his brain like in the Parker fight. I also think he can stop Ruiz but, will he be willing to go for it if he hurts him? I'm not sure and I wouldn't be surprised if its a boring points win. If Ruiz catches him though, it's all over. AJ cant take temple shots and that wont change.

AJ doesn’t have the body and experience to fight like Wlad. He can run but he can’t hide and at some point Ruiz will force him to exchange. Mentally AJ is broken. I think he’s gonna get stopped again.

One of the judges had Joshua up at the time of stoppage in the first fight, and two judges had him trailing by a single point. All he has to do is survive and he will win.

Matchroom scorecards are pretty bad. Something I'll take in to consideration.

Everything Ruiz did in the first fight looked so natural. His composure is awesome.

Having Andy Ruiz go back to PBC with all those belts would do tremendous damage to the future of Matchroom and DAZN.

It would also hurt Top Rank and ESPN as well.

So there are money interests and power brokers that for sure don't want to see Ruiz win.

I figure he has to knock AJ out otherwise he will lose a decision. A quick ref stoppage if Andy gets buzzed is also possible.

If the refereeing and the scoring is fair I pick Ruiz to win by KO but AJ is a proven good fighter and he could win. He may have had an off night. AJ has good hand speed and power in both hands as his KO record shows and he did drop Ruiz hard before he lost. I thought the ref stopped the fight too early in the first fight. Ruiz probably would have won by KO anyway but give the champ every reasonable chance to win. AJ was standing strait up well before the count of ten and never said he didn't want to continue and the ref never asked him if he wanted to continue.

I don't think Joshua has to do too much differently to past performances.

He was never one to jump in all guns blazing - even against Breazeale he just kept on beating on him until he was confident that nothing was coming back. Against Ruiz I think he got caught trying to make a statement against a guy who can take a punch and throw back.

If he can keep his distance he will win rounds by default. And he's certainly got enough power to stop anyone. I don't care how good your chin is - it gets worse with every punch.

Ruiz obviously needs to do the opposite. Find a way inside, and make AJ pay for any punch he misses. I agree with almost everyone that he'll need to stop AJ. Short arms don't win rounds - he'll have to eat jabs to get in the positions he wants.

Clash of styles will be intriguing. It's as close to a 50/50 fight as we've had for a long time in the heavies.

I think this time around Joshua hurts him early and finishes, people forget what happened before Joshua got clipped on the temple
