Simple. He landed more punches than Ruiz. You know, the usual way that you win a round.Comment

I'm not going to comb the internet for something you can easily see for yourself. It's all over this board, youtube, and social media.Comment

what is ring generalship though? i've seen people define it a million different ways. clean punching should be an easy category to judge although some people still fu-kk that up but ring generalship just sounds like something vague people use to say their guy deserved to win. i've seen some people claim a guy was winning that category even though the other guy was landing the cleaner punches so it doesnt really make a whole lot of sense how that can be possible. he fought the fight he wanted...yet the other guy still landed better so how is the guy landing the better punches not fighting hte fight he wanted? just a dumb category overall no offense to you.Comment

He had to. They built Joshua up as bigger than the sport of boxing itself. Joshua can't go back to fighting Eric Molina while he hones his skills. Ideally you'd want your fighter to have a tune up or two before you put him back in there with a guy who outclass him. But Joshua is big business, he's not just a boxer. That's why they're cashing out on this fight.Comment

And as for your "clean and effective" punches... that means more than liking anything thrown by the guy you want to win. I'm not sure you could rate a single shot from Ruiz as clean and effective in that round.
You claimed you had Ruiz winning that round by "a mile". That's just ridiculous.Comment

One day we'll have to have a talk about how Hearn ruined AJ's career and moved him way to fast because he saw dollar signs.
AJ himself said he's been complaining because he wasn't getting fights that would improve his skillset. He knew this day was coming. Takam & Parker were warning signs everybody ignored.Comment

Betting on boxing is risky regardless of one's confidence. Last night's fight between Valdez and Lopez is a prime example. One judge had Valdez clearly winning when if fact he was obviously losing by most accounts.Comment
