Wilder's marketing is P4P but as a fighter… he's one dimensional. In fairness, Wilder has a great punch but a complete fighter he is absolutely not, simple as that. His resume consists of knocking out a considerably older more diminished Ortiz for the 2nd time, old Stiverne, Breazeale and a draw with Fury. Wilder fought a fairly pedestrian line up with an obvious pattern. The only P4P Wilder has is his match making and creative narratives for avoiding Joshua, Whyte, Rivas, Chisora, Parker, Ruiz and anyone not on the down side.

dude came up with AJs money only to have AJ backtracking about how it has to be in the UK for his fans...then telling the same fans that they should go train and fight wilder if they think its so easy all while saying he wont sell his soul for 50 million after asking for that exact figure
wilder told hearn hed fight whyte if hearn promised him AJ right after that....hearn said NO!
hearns own pappy said he was advising them to avoid wilder for a few years
yet somehow you clowns still think hes actually avoided those two scrubs......wilder would ends AJs career right now
you don't have to rate wilder p4p...no one is asking for that...cause quite franky wilder and his fans could care less if hes p4p rated....but give him some proper respect...it doesn't have to be a lot...but he deserves some....AJ doesn't want that smoke...and if AJ wins his belts back i guarantee he still will be in no rush to get in front of wilder...in fact he may be more reluctant than he was beforeComment

Noooooooooooo!!!! Lb x lb, an irrefutable "NO". Wilder is the most limited fighter in the sport and certainly the most overrated. If this was a cuban fighter or not American for that matter, the media would be making a buffoon of him!!!Comment

Wilder’s P4P match making created a winning record but at the cost of credibly and finance. Sure Wilder has knockouts but knocking out the same guy multiple times isn’t an accomplishment, its padding and fans have surprisingly gotten wise to it.
In the face of relentless narratives and false marketing disguised as journalism fans paned Wilders last fight by a wide margin. Even his most ardent supporters refused to purchase half price tickets in an arena was only 55% full. More importantly, the so called face of boxing sold a pathetic 250,000 PPV’s. Fans can debate Crawford vs Lomachenko for P4P but Wilder is no Crawford and even mentioning Wilder in that debate is an insult to boxing. In the end, real knows real.Last edited by factsarenice; 11-30-2019, 12:22 PM.Comment

wilder fights Ortiz 2nd time its "padding"
when he beat him the first time they said "Ortiz had him in trouble...and the doctors helped wilder by giving him time to recover"......then as soon as he signs to rematch it becomes "padding" and "who cares"

Real simple...Wilder ducked Joshua & 120 million to fight old Ortiz for 3 mil. PERIOD...simple fact.
Oh, and the 3 million includes Leonard Ellerbe's mysterious, undocumented, BS back-end money....3 million total.

lol@ you if you think wilder made 3 million for that fight...how does a guy go from making 10 against breazeale to making less? lol...you really are a sad clown....i mean absolutely pathetic.....you should go drink some Clorox
if wilder took the DAZN deal he still wouldn't be fighting AJ yet! they were gonna fight ruiz and breazeale respectively and we saw how that turned out...AJ would still be seeking redemption in the rematch and wilder would be waiting!
but guess what? the guy from DAZN admitted he screwed up and said he knew he messed up the minute wilder walked out of his office!!!
wilder aint hurting for money..he aint begging anyone for it....in fact forbes said he was the 4th highest paid fighter in combat sports in the last year...trailing only canelo, aj and McGregor! wilder is the highest paid US fighter!
he never asked DAZN for any money or any figure! it was AJ that asked for a figure and when it was met he backtracked!
keep living in your pathetic dream world you gimp!Comment

Wilder KOed Ortiz the 1st time...was there even a question that he would KO an older slower Ortiz again?
Sorry Curt but EVERYONE except YOU saw that for what it was...

i was at the first one
lets go back and revist the threads after that fight here shall we? and watch all the sad haters, much like yourself, yelling about how much trouble wilder was in and that the doctors saved wilder and helped him! lolComment

You sure as hell weren't at the 2nd fight because even you knew it was a forgone conclusion. Nobody fell for that fake narrative, the fight didn't sell tickets and nobody bought the PPV. 250,000 PPV buys is laughable.
