Comments Thread For: Wilder To Begin Fury Camp Dec. 31, Workouts Being Reduced

Deontay Wilder will be back in the ring Feb. 22 against Tyson Fury, thirteen weeks after demolishing Luis Ortiz to retain his WBC heavyweight title. The turnaround may be a quick one considering the magnitude of the fight, but neither the Alabaman fighter or his trainer, Jay Deas, are concerned. Deas has circled Dec. 31 as the date to kick off training camp for Wilder's rematch against the lineal heavyweight champion of the world, the trainer told BoxingScene.com.

Kovalev had almost the same amount of time to prepare for Canelo yet haters discredit his Canelo's win. Yet if fury beats Wilder he's God lmao

Kovalev was considered shot even after he got knocked out by Alvarez.

        Wilder's in his prime.

I just hope they don't rob Tyson of his rightful victory this time around.

Last time I checked 10 weeks is not the same amount of time as 13 weeks.

In fact I'm pretty sure it is 30% more.

Kovalev barely survived a tough bout with Yarde; Wilder waltzed around Ortiz and ko'd him with one punch. Kovalev was used goods, Wilder is in his prime.

You are comparing apples to oranges.

amount of time to prepare and amount of time to recover are not the same thing at all. Also, I'm pretty sure neither Fury nor Wilder are going to try to handicap the other with weight demands.

Now stop laughing and pay attention

You dont need to make up a fake record for him. His actual record of 41-0-1 is decent.
