Don't Think Fury is in Any Hurry to Dance With Deontay

Do you blame him. He only outlanded Wilder 84-71. That doesn't say to me that Deontay doesn't know how to box. He certainly has unorthodox methods, but you can't argue with success. Would you rather have Fury hit you 84 times or Wilder hit you 71 times? Hate to say it but I can see something happening to make Fury pull out of this fight; a cut or injury during sparring? If Wilder goes heavy to the body, I don't see Fury lasting the distance. Also, Wilder's been fighting better fighters and his timing has, no doubt improved. He's been learning. People don't seem to fare well in rematches with him.

Funny how he landed that “lucky punch” in all of his 42 fights dropping everyone he’s been in the ring with? If that’s luck I wonder why no one else has ever done it with so called “skill”.

Good idea. I actually had a lingering feeling Wilder overtrained a bit for the first Fury fight, conditioning-wise.

Fury in better shape and Wilder in non-exhausted mode should result in even more fun for all of us, lol.

The whole notion that heavyweights mature later than others is such BS. 34 is 34 no matter what size you are.

Remaining youthful physically above the age of 30 has much more to do with your genetics and how you take care of your body. For a boxer it also depends on how much punishment you've taken over the course of your career.

With Wilder I see someone who's still learning through gaining experience at the top level which is how he's getting better, but physically I can see Wilder is gradually losing a bit of that agility he possessed maybe 2-3 years back when he was around 30..

Also in terms of Fury’s last performance, what does that matter when it comes to who he fights next? Fury has been inconsistent all his career anyway. His performances before the Wlad fight and first Wilder fight weren’t exactly special. So i don’t think his last fight has any real impact on the Wilder fight happening.

Also, you can’t knock Fury for making his own business moves. Wilder made his own moves with Showtime (which seemingly hasn’t worked out and he’s fighting on Fox),but at the time Wilder was signing a 3 fight deal with Showtime. AJ has his own broadcaster too etc..

So Fury going getting his own deal rather than having to work on everyone else’s terms is no different to what any other top fighter is doing.
Wilder is not signed to Showtime, which is why Fox was able to broadcast the PPV. Showtime didn't want to put up the money because they will go all in for the Wilder vs Fury rematch. Wilder can fight on any network under PBC, and remained loyal to PBC with the promise of increased purses, which they have met.

Fury had a deal on the table for a rematch with Wilder, a deal that by all accounts was very good. Fury was going to sign, but decided at the last minute to agree to allow Arum to be half of his promotion, then Fury signed to ESPN under Arum, which directly, and immediately killed the rematch. Now, if we are being objective, how smart is the move when Fury's cut of an already small pie just got devided into even smaller portions? You see it looks like Wilder might make even more in the rematch, while Fury might actually make less than the amount of his last offer. So, maybe Fury knew he could make easy money by fighting lowly opponents on ESPN, no hate on that, but let's acknowledge that he killed the rematch, nothing wrong with admitting that either.

Definitely not in agreement with what this trainer is saying. While watching Wilder set up one big shot entertains me, it's mostly because the comments on the forums by low IQ fan boys who dont see the set up, is hilarious. But, if we are being real, Wilder can win rounds while he sets his opponents up for the big shot, and he doesnt have to get tired doing it. He's quick, long, and athletic, with a kioken × 100 in his right hand, and a × 20 in his left. Wilders stamina seems to be that of a 15 rounder throw back, so spare us the stamina argument. We also know he carries his power late. So, do the damn home work, because all Wilder needs to do is throw his solid jab more often, and stick the 1-2 down the pipe a few times a round, watch how many rounds the guy will win easily. Having said that, he is 42 and 0, so what do I know.

                  Nuff said.

Now the haters and nitpickers can take over the thread and humor us!!
Ridiculous power, IMO he will KO Fury this time around.

He knows he can hurt him and might go for the kill a bit earlier.

If Fury was still being trained by his uncle I think it would have been Fury by UD or SD, but his current coach, is more focused on his hair then training.
