For example Make Stevenson/Valdez and out it on ESPN instead of Stevenson v some bum and Valdez vs some unknown Mexican on the app.
I agree 100 and 10 percent. Promoters protect the 0 more than fighters.

Beterbiev vs. Gvozdyk was the kind of fight you almost never see from Top Rank
Good post. Jose Ramirez and Zapeda have a great JWW fight (I think Zapeda deserved the win) in Ramirez hometown. Then Jose's next fight with Hooker is on dazn from Texas. Now he is slated to fight on the app against Postol from China instead of on ESPN back in front of his home crowd.

Maybe I am missing something but that just seems dumb as fcuk.

I just don't get the ESPN/TR arrangement. Crawford and Loma should ONLY fight on ESPN main network or PPV. Fury, Navarette, Ramirez, Inoue should be on ESPN and ESPN2. The smaller Latino fighters should highlight ESPN Latino (like GBP cards).

Then use the app for "shobox" level fighters that are up and coming or for fights from foreign countries with the time difference. That way Inoue and his other foreign guys can fight in front of his home crowd just like DAZN.

Imagine how much better the TV atmosphere is in all the above?

Is it that fcuking difficult? I am not a marketing expert but it can't be that hard to put your best product where the most people can see it.

This. ESPN don't promote fights almost at all and expect them to have big ratings. It doesn't work like that in 2019 anymore.

Yes it was fake just like Wilder's $100 mil deal was fake. Just like Hearn's billion dollar deal with DAZN was fake. But these writers repeat whatever these promoters tell them to say

                    TR does not have stars.

Casuals don’t even know who Loma or Crawford are
