    Deontay Wilder v. Jon Jones

I talked to a friend recently who says Wilder wins in a street fight against Jon Jones (UFC legend). Personally I don’t see that happening, except maybe once in ten tries. Jon Jones has too many offensive weapons and has a reach advantage, although he’s at a height disadvantage. I imagine Wilder comes forward, Jones kicks his legs out from under him, ground and pound, fight over in about 30 seconds. Thoughts?

If Jones grabs him, Jones wins.

If Wilder lands a shot, Wilder wins.

    Simple as that.

            Jones yes.

But come on now. Wilder have never failed a PED test.

His opponents on the other hand - yes.

First, street fights are almost never 1 on 1. And Street fights almost never end up on the ground, nor should anyone want them to, because street fights are rarely 1 on 1, on the ground you are getting kicked in the head 9 out of 10 times.

That being said, Jones would use his kicks to get in close and then it's anyone's game, probably more grappling and dirty boxing.

Fair point, reminds me of a martial arts teacher who once was asked what he’d do to beat Mike Tyson in a street fight. He replied something like, “I’d bring a gun”.

Who tests him? Is it VADA who cleared whyte as a ped free fighter against Rivas?

I didn’t know either of them used PEDs.

I know Jones took ******* and got busted for using a virility pill that affected his hormone levels or something, but I didn’t think either of that gives you an advantage in a fight. If anything, ******* would make it harder to fight by raising the heart rate I’d think.. not to mention higher risk of something going wrong like a heart attack or stroke...
