It's not for the ref to think, " there's only 7, 8 seconds left in the round". Ortiz didn't look ready to when he struggled back to his feet.

There was actually. If you look at any replay or fan clip from the audience (see instagram) you will see Bayless usher Wilder to the corner, then immediately turn to look at where the count is before continuing.

Ortiz was seen smiling and laughing just minutes later in the ring Not very upset by this injustice.

I guess he's confessing that the Knockout was fake and so were his reactions while laying down.

If the ref allowed the fight to go on after that shot, and Ortiz survived the frame, I seriously doubt he would’ve survived the following round. That was a real blast he took. Potential health issues if further punishment were sustained.

Bayliss could have let him rise to his feet but I think Wilder was always gonna get to him at some point

Good catch. I couldn’t see because of the photographers.

I like Ortiz and was rooting for him, but please stop it bro. You were done and didn't know what was going on. Even when he made it to his feet his eyes looked like he didn't know where he was

Respect to Ortiz but he had two shots and didn't get it done. Made some money...he needs to move on now.

Good stoppage. I like Ortiz and still wish to see him in there vs some top guys. Him vs Pulev would be interesting.
