I'd like to see Ortiz vs some prospect. Dubois is #1 in my list. Joyce would be also cool or...let it be Ivan dychko, Efe ayagba, Tony yoka, Junior Fa, Filip hrgovic.

I think he could beat most of those. Not Ajagba or Hrgovich perhaps.

No excuses, but it was indeed a quick count.

I thought so too until I watched the replay. You have to start the count as soon as he hits the canvas. Bayless moved Deontay to the side and went into his count at 2 or so which is correct cause he wasted a sec or more moving Deontay. Gloves were on the canvas at 10.

Only on here can a guy knock someone out TWICE and still not be the decisive winner.

But like people say. There was a minute to recover. You'd expect the ref to take into consideration everything. That's what good ref does. Weigh everything up. That ortiz hadn't taken much punishment that's got to factor into it. That ortiz was 6 rounds up.
True, ortiz could get hurt, but anyone is one only one punch away from getting hurt against wilder, and so could wilder get hurt. So best not get in ring in first place, or better still why not just ban.boxing instead.?

Wilder also etched his name into the heavyweight history books by making his 10th WBC title defence – equalling Muhammad Ali's record of consecutive defences.
It's official. Wilder is now equal with Muhammad Ali. One more win and he will be better. It's hard to see who else Wilder could fight. He has fought all the greatest fighters round.

I think he needs to fight Breazeale a 2nd time next because Breazeale managed to hit him a few times so that performance wasnt quite perfect.

Put the stop watches away it's called a 10 count not 10 seconds exactly. You are obviously the same guys who say Fury got a 12 count or whatever.

Ortiz was obviously done also. I didn't want to see him take another shot like that

Wholeheartedly agree. Ortiz didn't know where he was when he got up.
