He gave it a go but we all got exactly what we expected. Wilder got thoroughly outboxed and then won by a KO. Id like to see him face a fit and prime top 10 fighter some time before he retires.

Wilder was being a man of his word. He told Ortiz just like he did Fury. Since there was some doubts and critics, he would give them a rematch and he has. I honestly thought there was no need for the Ortiz rematch but so much was talked about that 7th rd. It was all built on, what if Ortiz had just a few more seconds. Okay, so that entire premise justified another fight.

Fury, it's a lot more obvious that a rematch is needed.

With that said, you got to give it Wilder. He could easily bail out of these guys who are both tremendously difficult fights for his style, yet he still goes through with them.

Fury ducked the immediate Wilder rematch, Ruiz and Joshua are tied up with each other.

Who else was Wilder supposed to fight in the meantime?

Does anyone truly believe there was someone better than Luis Ortiz available tonight?

The people that were crying after the first fight saying Wilder was saved after the 7th round. Wilder wanted to clear that up and give Ortiz another shot

Most if not all of the top 10 of the division. Thats why after the last Wilder fight Ortiz chose to fight 3 fighters from outside the top 10 and refused to fight Anthony Joshua or Dillian Whyte.

Really? Fury is the only guy I can definitively say has a good shot.

I give full credit for Wilder for taking the rematch. Ortiz is a horrible style match up for him and it showed again in the rematch but Wilder took care of business like the first fight.

I think it's refreshing a guy ready to take on rematches in competitive fights. Seems like many modern boxers aren't eager to run it back when it's close.
