Ortiz has the far superior technique and enough power to hurt Wilder. It's yet another fight where Wilder needs to land a wild swing to be in it.

That's if it's not bent anyway, which it might be.
You sound like you're ******. what did the judges scores have to do with a KO victory?

What the hell are talking about. The fight was never boring you must be drunk.

None of the knock downs that Wilder got was from Wild swings, maybe you are on meth.

If it was boring until the knockdown (which is absolute nonsense), if its already "bent" like you baselessly elude, why are you even here commenting? Maybe watch golf or pool instead. Smh

I think Wilder is a great champion, great guy as well. He gave a second opportunity to a top heavyweight, giving him the chance to fight for big money to be able to help his daughter. That’s one thing they have in common, the struggles of dealing with their child’s health issues. He sympathized with Ortiz in that matter and that says a lot about the type of person he is. I think he’s a good guy and I admire that of him. Hope he makes it down the books as one of heavyweight greats. He’s not technically sound but his power is beyond incredible.

You know the judges score the fight while it's happening don't you? They had Wilder ahead in a fight where Ortiz was clearly winning most rounds.

And you don't think it was boring before the knockdown? The crowd was booing them for not engaging enough. Wilder couldn't even land a jab.

You need to rewatch (or maybe watch it for the first time) before you comment any more.

Paulie does decent commentary. I know I know he can be obnoxious... But he does have good ideas.

Regarding this fight: A lot of idiots here think that Ortiz just fell down last fight...No. He was indeed beating Wilder and had Wilder in deep trouble. The judges will not give it to Ortiz. He has to at least knock down Wilder and dominate the rest of the fight, if he cannot knock Wilder out.

My concern regarding Ortiz is that putting on more muscle was a bad idea. He should have lost weight and worked on cardio. He is not really much lighter for this fight and has to feed muscles that he has grown. I don't see how this helps his punch, his endurance, and certainly not his resistance. Why didn't he do what fighters used to do? roadwork, or use a machine if his knees cant take it?

Regarding Wilder: All he really has to do is remain conscious for the length of the fight...The judges are not going to give it to Ortiz. Wilder has gotten better with setting up his punch. He has a nice developing jab and can throw at many angles. Wilder is the puncher and has to simply make it so he connects with Ortiz about ten times with a good shot. That should give him the odds he needs either to KO or hurt Ortiz.

My pick is Ortiz but the judges giving it to Wilder. Ortiz will win rounds that mysteriously go to wilder and we will get that decision we all know and love... It is why I do not bet on fight any longer.

The abnormally low weight and hesitance to throw his punches – his trusted difference makers – suggest to me that he probably wasn't lying about having an illness or whatever before the fight.

In this rematch I predict we'll see that it was Wilder who had an off night, rather than Ortiz looking exceptional.
I think Ortizs activity rate and countering had more to do with Wilder looking bad than any illness that he said he had. Like you I just don't buy it. Unless they come out and say it the day of the fight or make mention of it sometime prior. They never do though

You might've misread me. I said I'm inclined to believe Wilder when he said he had an illness or something going into the fight (which I normally don't do), rather than give Ortiz so much props like everyone does. Wilder at 100% would've taken fewer rounds to get him out of there.

I agree with malignaggi. Fat boy is taking this seriously and the champ has more of a Buddha belly. Hes resting on his hype. U can never drink the cool aid of your own hype if you want to keep your EDGE.
                  I see an upset.
Ask Furry, Joshua & Thurman about drinking the cool aid.

I always find it funny when people got something to say about how someone looks or their body composition. Oritz has more fights than anyone has ever seen on this forum. He was in major events and olympics. He is where he is right now because he earned it...so before you talk smack about him, look in the mirror and ask how far you've gone besides hitting the pay per view button on your remote.
