So why have a fight when its gonna be worse than Kovalev?
I don't think GGG is as far gone as most...I think SD would be a very tough matchup for Canelo as well, and would have given him fits, as he gave GGG...he is so active, which would give Canelo problems.

My 2 cents is the Kovalev fight was the A side picking a big name at the right time...I think SD would have been a tougher fight for Canelo and I think he probably knows that.

If Canelo KOs GGG I will say good job...and will hope GGG hangs em up.

I would also disagree with your scores on Canelo-GGG rounds...I don't really see how one could have Canelo ahead overall at this point...I just don't see the rounds for him right now.

It’s still the toughest fight of canelos career post floyd.
      Doesn’t matter at this point.
Canelo could go in and KO him in one round and the people that don’t like him will just say he beat an old version. Won’t change what people thought of the first two fights.
Like you said his money is the same and he clearly is looking for new challenges and legacy fights.
The people that think he has something to prove with GGG won’t give him any credit for a third fight.

Again I think GGG is making the same amount regardless of who he faces...I think that goes for Canelo as well.

I don't really see how giving a man a rematch after a disputed draw and a disputed MD win is giving in to a crybaby...just seems like being a man imo and giving a guy who deserves a rematch, a rematch.

ggg is no longer the most difficult fight for canelo anymore, there are better fights out there... not financially of course, but as a fight fan for me there are better fights...

but then again, other than money, canelo knows he isnt getting credit for that fight anymore so i understand why he isnt interested anymore...
Yeah again I don't think Canelo or GGG really gets more for this fight...they got their deals and are paid handsomely per fight...because of potential fights like this one, where DAZN can actually make money on their fights instead of losing it.

I would favor Nelo in a 3rd fight...I had it 50/50 going into fight 2 but GGG still proved to be the better man imo...I don't really see where Nelo could get 6 rounds in the 2nd fight honestly but I know a lot of fans of his seem to feel that way.

I would also say that while GGG does seem to be aging a bit...I think Canelo would have had all kinds of problems with SD as well...and I think he knew that, and selected a big name in Kov at the right time...SD's activity gave GGG problems, and we know how active GGG is...SD's activity would have given Canelo fits I think...and it would have similarly been a very tough fight for Nelo.

Again I think we have to look at when you fight a guy and under what circumstances...a prime Kov at 175 would be better than this 'prime' version of SD...but I can't really say that that version of Kov was much better or any better than Derevychenko right now...I just think SD is a tougher fight right now.

Yeah but the weird thing to me is if the roles were reversed...and there were really a fighter that I disliked and wanted a fight with a guy I liked, and I felt my guy was surely going to win/beat him up/KO him...I would be all for it in almost any scenario.

Let him step up and get that as/s whipped and then we move on, would be my take.

They make money outside of it as well, both camps have their own TV deals in different parts of the world.

I felt the same way about the second fight - that Canelo would totally make it clear in the rematch. GGG has aged since their last fight, so it makes me feel the same way again, but I was fooled last time. Only way GGG wins this time is if he goes completely all out and goes for the stoppage, in turn opening himself up to be stopped. He should know by now the judges will never give him a decision. He definitely won the first fight, and the second fight could have gone either way.

Yes I agree about the part about the feeling going into the 2nd fight..and that is giving me a bit of pause again about the 3rd fight too...would be a good test again for both guys I think

i completely agree. canelo would win and the fight would probably happen at 165 or something silly. just move on. they waited too long or they waited the perfect amount of time depending on your perspective but now its way too late.

September was the time for this fight...the entire boxing world wanted it, canelo did not.
