Haymon is a genius because of the success he had prior to Floyd and the deal he crafted for Floyd that made him hundreds of millions. That is why fighters sign with him, not because they can't think for themselves.

Your post was dumb as *****.
Now we come to the part of the story where Haymon gets the credit for "making" all those huge selling HW title fights of the 80's and 90's ... yaaawn ... wake me up when it's over.

I wasn't going to mention that at all. You really shouldn't let your hatred drive you to post such ridiculously biased things.

Haymon is a “genius” because he was a music industry promoter? I guess taking a manager’s cut or a fee seems common practice...

        Tommy Mottola is a “genius?”

Al Haymon isn’t a genius. He hustled his way to create PBC, I’ll give him that, but he leached onto Floyd to be where he is now. All Haymon asked for was his team to shout out his name as a favor if they were content with their purses and it became a trend.

Now Blavatnik. That’s a “genius.” Because his net worth is in the Billions and he got there doing several industries.

Genius is Herbie Han****. Don’t get it twisted.

Maybe having a double degree from Harvard and huge success in multiple businesses is a sign of some kind of genius.

Whether he is or isn't, my point is his success is what makes people sign with him, same as anyone else who is successful.

People didn't know comedy tours could become blockbuster hits and generate the revenue it did until Haymon did the Eddie Murphy Raw tour. Broke all comedy tour records. Set the stage for all these Chris Rock, Kevin Hart, Dane Cook, Kings of Comedy tours. And he did the Michael Jackson Bad Tour. People really don't understand the impact Haymon has made in the entertainment industry before he got to boxing. Boxing was his play toy to begin. There were no companies like Live Nation prior to Haymon. Seven years ago if you'd asked anybody would boxing make it back to broadcast TV everybody would say you were crazy. There is a reason people invest in Haymon. No matter what it is he always delivers. Yet boxing continues to underestimate him to their own peril.
