Originally posted by Monzon99 View PostCanelo Alvarez was rigged by Richard Schaefer and Haymon to throw the fight to Floyd Mayweather. Floyd and Haymon and Showtime needed a big draw because Floyd's sparring sessions were losing momentum and profits for Showtime's six fight guaranteed $150m contract.
So it was time to hire Alvarez to play soft with Floyd. When Oscar found out about it, he refused to be a part of the fraud and did not show up for fight week or the "fight" itself. Oscar lied and said he was entering drug rehab a week before the fight.
Is there anyone ****** enough to believe that excuse? Oscar hated Floyd and vice versa, and would have loved to been front row to watch Canelo destroy his hated rival rather than at rehab. But Oscar knew the rig job was set and Canelo was rigged to play soft on Floyd and that's the real reason Oscar and Chavez both were no shows to the biggest fight in Mexican history.
Watch the fight itself. It was not a fight, it was a soft controlled boring sparring session, orchestrated so that Floyd was not hurt in any way. Soft sparring and the judges were rigged for the franchise. Canelo was paid a reported $5m bonus for the soft performance, as reported by Jacky Jasper's hollywood site.
The commentating was also structured to act like the fight was even so when the robbery took place, it would seem like the fight was closer.
The problem is no one expected Floyd to walk him down and make it so one sided.
They expected Floyd to lose a few rounds, that way when CJ gave it to Canelo, another judge would as well, so it would be a majority decision for Canelo.

beating floyd would have made him the number 1 hype job in the entire world(like he's trying to be now except we already know he and oscar are crooks and cheats)
Canelo and oscar would have loved nothing more than to win that fight.
The thing is floyd makes getting the upper hand on him pretty damn hard
I dont want to hear shyt about no weight drained. Floyd shouldnt even be taking fights like that tbh, because if it was SRL, he would've lost his life in the ring!

That's why he would continue to fight at 54 for almost another 4yrs. Even the 55pd weight had NOTHING to do with making weight it was not paying fees. Or if you want to believe Canelo it was because he said May was the real champ at 54 after beating him(google it). Personally I think its the former, more then the latter. Don't make excuses for fighters that are not making excuses, and I think Canelo knows more about his weight then you do.
