I don't think Joshua is "mentally weak". FFS he got up from a massive punch by Wlad Klit, came back to spark him out.

No one can know if he actually quit....but he certainly had no idea how to handle Ruiz and was looking for a way out and help from the ref.

    Well, ok: he quit.

I'm surprised Tony Bellew is able to speak so eloquently with Anthony Joshua's balls lodged deep down his throat.

Lets face it - AJ is very overated. We've seen Whyte hurt him, Klit hurt him, Povetkin hurt him and Ruiz absolutely anhilate him! At the time of the stoppage he was completly done - he could no longer get his body to do what he wanted it to do and the whole turning him back on the ref thing was just an alternative way of quitting without verbly saying it.

It was his killer instinct that got him knocked down in the first place. If he had been in safety first mode, he would have just stick out a jab and continued to fight post KD. Instead he rushed Ruiz looking to knock him out in devastating fashion, even if that meant trading hooks with a hooker.

In regards to whether he quit or not. Christ, spitting the gum shield out isn't a sign of quitting, it's a sign of willing to go on and hoping to buy yourself time so you can come back and whoop some ass. Could you imagine calling Coralles a quitter? There is a hell of a lot more you can do to quit, than stand there, following refs instructions and nodding his head when asked to. Now i'm not saying a huge part of AJ wouldnt have wanted out of there...but he didn't shake his head at any point.
Take a took a look at Tyson Fury when he got knocked out by Wilder. If you want to see a fighter thats keen to fight on.

Lets hope Anthony "Quitter" Johnson dont quit in the rematch.
So he can get the beating he deserves and leave on a stretcher this time.

Only because Klit let him off the hook in round 6. Joshua was done after that huge right hand. Any boxer with half a brain would've just pounced on him as soon as he got up and flurried away until they knocked him out. AJ was possibly one clean punch away from getting knocked out cold but klit fought too cautiously afterwards and let him get back into the fight.

Compare the last knockdown to the other 3 knockdowns where Joshua holds his hands up and looks right at the referee. The last knockdown was different, he turned away, walked into a neutral corner and after the ref was done counting he stayed in the corner. Watch for yourself again

That's edited lol. That video just skipped straight to bit where he was waved off. Did you even watch that fight live?

If joshua quit - he would have stayed down. He wouldn't have got up and said he wanted to continue lol. He was waiting in the corner for the ref to put his mouth shield back in. Fighters have never quit like that in the history of boxing. Not sure what you have been watching all these years

I watched the fight live. Didn't you see the other 3 knockdowns and how he reacted ? He looked at the ref in the face and held his gloves up on
knockdown number 4 he turned away and stayed in the corner, that was his way of saying he was done. The ref did say are you ready to box , Joshua said yes but didn't come out of the corner. Watch and listen.
Go to the 23 min mark.

                  He quit.
