He quit, we all know it.

Well I can't know whether or not he is soft, or mentally weak. (though having seemingly the whole world turn over night couldn't have been easy and yet he took the rematch regardless) However I couldn't disagree more with a lack of killer instinct. It was his killer instinct that got him knocked down in the first place. If he had been in safety first mode, he would have just stick out a jab and continued to fight post KD. Instead he rushed Ruiz looking to knock him out in devastating fashion, even if that meant trading hooks with a hooker.
In regards to whether he quit or not. Christ, spitting the gum shield out isn't a sign of quitting, it's a sign of willing to go on and hoping to buy yourself time so you can come back and whoop some ass. Could you imagine calling Coralles a quitter? There is a hell of a lot more you can do to quit, than stand there, following refs instructions and nodding his head when asked to. Now i'm not saying a huge part of AJ wouldnt have wanted out of there...but he didn't shake his head at any point.Last edited by Articulateboxin; 11-19-2019, 05:56 AM.Comment

... in the RBR thread of that fight, I said here that AJ is done for boxing even since the 3rd round...Comment

Can't say anything Bellews says serious.
At this point he's just a mouthpiece for Hear / Matchroom.Comment

Bellew licks AJ’s crack though, he will always defend him. I’ve never seen a man that sucks up to another man that much, it’s embarrassing to watch on TV.
He slated Brook and said he quit v Spence but Brook suffered the same eye injury that he had in the previous fight with GGG and a doctor said it could’ve blinded him.
So he’ll slate a man for quitting with a broken eye socket and with the thoughts of being blinded in his mind, yet he won’t slate AJ, who basically just got outclassed and dropped repeatedly, spit his gum-shield out and basically quit. He didn’t protest anything, he wanted out when he knew he couldn’t win.Last edited by deathofaclown; 11-19-2019, 07:00 AM.Comment

I don’t think he quit but his eyes were glazed and that second wind was never coming and everyone and the ref could see it.
Ruiz would have sparked him out. Unless his engine absolutely tanked.
I still don’t understand how such a fatty has such a great engine. He must operate differently to the rest of us. Using fat and not glucose from the jump. He should donate himself to scienceLast edited by Sparked_26; 11-19-2019, 07:16 AM.Comment
