People make fun of Wilder's legs...but he obviously has good/strong legs to be able to move the way he does in there at his size...once his legs start to slow down a bit, well then the power will fade some too...and he will be in some big trouble in those types of fights when that happens, since his boxing just revolves around setting up the one big shot really...I hope he gets out before then but I didn't even realize he is 34...guys are staying fresher longer now, but yeah I would bet that at some point in the next few years he will start to slow some.

It may not be one of the current guys who really gets him though...if Ortiz can't do it this time it may be a few years before some young unknown guy comes along that ends up being the guy who could really get him...Wilder is too fast for most of the SHWs right now, and too big for Usyk and Ruiz imo

          Yeah...

I personally think it’s gonna be Kownacki or DuBois who gets him.

its just funny how these guys run around saying tank is waiting for loma to get old...and canelo waited(still is) waiting for golovkin to get old

yet they never mention wilders age and how fury has been stalling this unfinished business for some time now
Why are you the way you are?

Probably will be a guy like that, if Wilder sticks around long enough...only takes 1 shot at HW

                Yes
I don’t rate Kownacki super highly, but I think he’s got the basics down and is pretty durable. Watch him in any of his fights and he’s pretty good at measuring distance and slipping punches while throwing back — like Sweet Pea said, make them miss and make them pay. I could see him getting a decision against Wilder, although maybe tasting the canvas in the process. I think he’s better than Fury and Fury got a draw.
As for DuBois I could totally see him KO Wilder and finishing what Ortiz couldn’t. The guy is a beast and he’s got great confidence and power. He needs more development though but give him 2-3 years and I fully expect him to be championship material.

Nothing magical about being a heavyweight as far as aging goes. 34 is still old. If he keeps fighting and fights the best I think he will lose within the next few years depending on who he fights. A heavyweight is stronger and faster at 27 than at 37 just like a middleweight or a flyweight. It varies from fighter to fighter not always by weight class. Pac is little and still very good at 40 but Dempsey and Louis were finished many years earlier and so was Ali. Just have to wait and see on Wilder but Ortiz almost KOed him and Fury outpointed him in the eyes of many viewers.

I dont see why he couldnt fight till 40..
Boxers tend to have longer careers than punchers. Wilder is a puncher.

It will only take a small drop in speed and he's no longer able to land. Or to avoid.

He's probably got to the point where if he takes a few big fights and looses then people will just call it aging.

I think Wilder will lose against Ortiz but he will get the UD win anyway. They simply wont let Wilder lose and do everything to avoid it.

Wilder will maybe decline around 40 because he hasn't taking to much punishment but I think Fury retires him imop before 2021 .
