Wilder can't say that no one else has given/offered Ortiz a shot and risked facing him, as that's simply not true. He was offered a second shot at a title, and said no.

It would of been a risky fight for Joshua too. Ortiz didn't want to take it, Ruiz did. Ruiz stepped up, took the risk, took the big money and took the belts. His life changed and now he gets to do it all again as a rematch came as part of the deal.

Ortiz was given the call before Ruiz was.
lets not act like ortiz, turned down AJ, and then had nothing...he was met with the same payday and another crack at a world title.........when he turned down AJ its likely he knew he was promised this fight by haymon.....i dont think it just happened blindly.......theres a reason his pay for the aj fight is being matched(its reported to be actually more...how much i do not know)

and yes...ruiz's life was/has changed....and by guess who? it was arum that dumped him and haymon that grabbed him and got him a crack....

Probably the PED's thing, he probable has to stop taking certain "heart meds" (masking agents) for a while so they don't show up in the tests. Being a bit chunky and possibly unfit didn't stop Ruiz Jr, but he may just be a bit braver than Ortiz.

I remember Ortiz's trainer saying how pissed Ortiz was with his manger when the offer from Hearn came and went.

I imagine the option for a Wilder rematch was on the cards all the while and Ortiz team knew that, and I imagine the Joshua offer ended up putting a few extra dollars on to Ortiz's Wilder purse.

The offer from Hearn was still there though, Joshua was willing to fight Ortiz if Ortiz wanted it. Which renders Wilder's claims that he is the only HW willing to face Ortiz as untrue.

          Probably peds related.

Wilder is much more frightening than AJ will ever be. And much less reward.
Yep, the peds cycle rumour could be a reason for sure.

PBC blocks ortiz v Joshua and then gets wilder to say nobody will fight ortiz. These gimps are fooling nobody and they just saying the same crap as last time to try convince ppl of the size of that fight.
