Scotland and England should be combined as UK because they both come come under the jurisdiction of the BBBoC.

The total population of Scotland is 5 million. There are almost twice as many people in London than in the whole of Scotland!

Check my list above. I couldn't break down the active fighters numbers anyway, cos Boxrec only lists nationality for the UK, not it's component countries. Basically what the numbers show is that there's a strong correlation between the number of professional fighters from a country and the number of titlists they have. If you figure in variability over time (which is why I've put up the links to World Champion lists going back 5 years) you'd probably find the relationship was even stronger, but someone else can pull the numbers together if they really care enough.

I blame Eddie Hearns for giving up on the UK and swimming across the pond! Eddie is set for life now with DAZN, with or without AJ!!1!

The list is of the number of titlists not of the number of titles, man.

Too be fair the Yanks got a lot more people than the Brits. 324M to 66M.
(Though the Brits do seem to usually have more paper champs. Whats up with that?)
I live in Canada these days. We got no champs but we got Steve Rolls.

I think this really highlights how bull**** the trinkets really are. UK is in a much better position now than a trinket list will lead you to believe

Back in 2016 we had 13 champions. USA had 12. Mexico 8

                  1. Yafai
                  2. BJS
                  3. DeGale
                  4. Burns
                  5. Frampton
                  6. Cleverly
                  7. Selby
                  8. Joshua
                  9. Brook
                  10. McDonnell
                  11. Bellew
                  12. Flanagan
                  13. Haskins

How many of those were legit at the time? Frampton was doing his thing with LSC and DeGale same with Jack. Brook never got the fight to see if he was top. Maybe Joshua but now theres question marks. Rest was bull****

Now we have Fury legitimately at the top of his division, Taylor is, Callum Smith is, Warringtons in the top 2 of his division, BJS is in position to show his true ability. Joshua in a make or break fight. Buatsi about to break through. Yafai can **** off though. Even ****ing Okolie can pick up a title. Dubois breaking through, Callum Johnson and Yarde will have something to say

Far from the doomsayers talk of UK boxing declining, I think this crop is about to peak.

Pulled the pro boxer #s from Boxrec by running a P4P by each country, so it's only fighters who have fought within the last year cos they drop em off the active list after that.

Got the population figures from here:

                    https://www.worldometers.info/geogra...-of-countries/

I can do a breakdown of titles/population or titles/active pros too if anyone wants.
nice nice, do it ill like to look at the breakdown.

Ummm. And the UK has 5 titlists, not 4 I think, with a combined total of 6 titles. Smith, Saunders, taylor, Warrington and Yafai. It's possiblr Khal wasn't counted because he's a WBA world and not Super, but since there is no Super Champ at Super Fly he should be counted same as Niyomtrong at Minimum.

EDIT: apologies of course Taylor was coun ted for Scotland on the initial table.
