Ruiz should be quicker if he lost flab.
But they say AJ has lost some of that extra muscle so he could be quicker too.
A slight edge to Ruiz--if the fight were to be fair.
But it won't be. Ref and 2 judges...so Ruiz needs a KO. Ref will hinder that a la Parker vs AJ.
It's a lot to overcome: ref and 2 judges mandating a KO.
Boxing...

Joshua was clearly the one ducking the Wilder fight. That sucks because if he loses again to Ruiz, he really falls to the back of the heavyweight picture. Now everyone will want Ruiz-Wilder, provided Wilder beats Ortiz again.
The rematch of Ruiz-Joshua should be real good. Joshua is going to do everything in his power to get the belts back and be back to the dominating force he believes he is. Ruiz is experiencing what it's like to be at the top, be king. No way does he want to let that go so easily. He's gonna have to be KO'd to lose and we already know he can get up from a monster shot and appear as though nothing just happened to him... Gonna be good.

Alexander Dimitrenko. He was massive compared to Ruiz...

I’m really not sure who wins. I look at how Lewis destroyed Rahman in their rematch & how Wlad was able to regroup after 2 disastrous losses to Sanders & Brewster so I won’t be writing off Joshua just yet. I watched an interesting interview with Freddy Roach. He wouldn’t pick a winner but he pointed out how both guys had lost weight for the rematch. He said the weight loss favoured Joshua more as he said he had trained Ruiz earlier in his career. He states Ruiz was a better fighter when he was bigger. He said Ruiz dropped weight before & it didn’t help him. It actually weakened him & he said he wasn’t as strong. He said why fix something that isn’t broke? He won the title fat so why not just keep doing what he is doing? He obviously can carry the weight & fight for 12 rounds. I kind of got the feeling Roach favoured AJ because of his past experience working with Ruiz & he didn’t like him losing weight back then & he doesn’t like it now...

Rematch
Anything can happen in the ring. And it's always 50/50 until the scores come out, one fighter totally dominates, or a fighter gets knocked out.
To think Ruiz can't win the rematch, you are fooling yourselves. If he does win the rematch, what do say then?
Just trying to make a point. I do have favorite fighters and pull for them, but I know that a given moment things can change. I have learned to expect the unexpected while watch matches.
