        I agree! Just because Ruiz can beat a stationary fighter like Joshua doesn't mean he can even come close to beating someone who is quick and athletic like Wilder. Wilder by KO within eight.

          As much as I like Freddy Roach he has not proved to be a good prognosticator of fight results.

            Sure that is a valid point but he never said who he thought would win, he just stated his opinion on both guys losing weight for the rematch. He had worked with Ruiz in the past & felt he wasn't as strong when he previously tried losing a lot of weight for upcoming fights. Too much time spent trying to drop weight & not enough time on fight preparation? From what I got out of it he felt losing weight would help Joshua more than Ruiz. It is something to watch during the fight. Will Joshua be more mobile? Will the weight loss affect Ruiz's punch resisitance? It's not like Ruiz couldn't throw fast combinations with the extra bulk. I always thought Chisora & Arreola were better fighters when they weighed in around the 250 range. When they dropped 20lbs it didn't really improve their hand speed but it did seem to have a negative effect on their ability to take a punch. That is just my opinion though. Hasim Rahman was another HW who I felt was stronger when he was around 250-260. I remember before his title eliminator rematch with Tua he said he planned to come in around 260 so he could absorb the punches better. HBO guys before the fight were saying he was out of shape. Rahman threw 80 punches a round for the entire 12 round fight. It was one of his best performances in my opinion even though he only got a draw out of it which was kind of bogus. I think some fighters are simply better when bigger.

                Just trying to make a point. I do have favorite fighters and pull for them, but I know that a given moment things can change. I have learned to expect the unexpected while watch matches.
                Normally I agree with you, but statistics and history don't favor Ruiz. It's harder to beat a guy twice in a row than it is to beat them in the rubber (third) match. Look at Pac Marquez 2 vs. 3. Many people felt Marquez won the 3rd fight.

                Steve Collins is the only fighter I can think of to clearly beat guys back to back (Eubank and Benn), followed by Srisaket (Chocolatito). If Murata pulls it out on Horn, he'll take over Srisaket's place.

                I'm not saying Ruiz loses, I'm saying he will likely be tested in the rematch.

                    Hoping Anthony Johnson doesn't quit this time, so ge can get the beating he deserves.

                    Sick of him taking a knee, spitting his mouth guard, pulling tape off gloves, hiding behind ref.... everytime someone puts pressure on him.
