I'm worried that wanker Hearn has inreased Ruiz's pay packet out of the PPV package now @£25 and not any of his own massive earnings!

I agree! Just because Ruiz can beat a stationary fighter like Joshua doesn't mean he can even come close to beating someone who is quick and athletic like Wilder. Wilder by KO within eight.

I watched an interesting interview with Freddy Roach. He wouldn’t pick a winner but he pointed out how both guys had lost weight for the rematch. He said the weight loss favoured Joshua more as he said he had trained Ruiz earlier in his career. He states Ruiz was a better fighter when he was bigger. He said Ruiz dropped weight before & it didn’t help him. It actually weakened him & he said he wasn’t as strong. He said why fix something that isn’t broke? He won the title fat so why not just keep doing what he is doing? He obviously can carry the weight & fight for 12 rounds. I kind of got the feeling Roach favoured AJ because of his past experience working with Ruiz & he didn’t like him losing weight back then & he doesn’t like it now...
As much as I like Freddy Roach he has not proved to be a good prognosticator of fight results.

Sure that is a valid point but he never said who he thought would win, he just stated his opinion on both guys losing weight for the rematch. He had worked with Ruiz in the past & felt he wasn't as strong when he previously tried losing a lot of weight for upcoming fights. Too much time spent trying to drop weight & not enough time on fight preparation? From what I got out of it he felt losing weight would help Joshua more than Ruiz. It is something to watch during the fight. Will Joshua be more mobile? Will the weight loss affect Ruiz's punch resisitance? It's not like Ruiz couldn't throw fast combinations with the extra bulk. I always thought Chisora & Arreola were better fighters when they weighed in around the 250 range. When they dropped 20lbs it didn't really improve their hand speed but it did seem to have a negative effect on their ability to take a punch. That is just my opinion though. Hasim Rahman was another HW who I felt was stronger when he was around 250-260. I remember before his title eliminator rematch with Tua he said he planned to come in around 260 so he could absorb the punches better. HBO guys before the fight were saying he was out of shape. Rahman threw 80 punches a round for the entire 12 round fight. It was one of his best performances in my opinion even though he only got a draw out of it which was kind of bogus. I think some fighters are simply better when bigger.

This fight has pretty good hype. Looking forward to it

I still remember being at MSG and how stunned everyone was in Manhattan

To think Ruiz can't win the rematch, you are fooling yourselves. If he does win the rematch, what do say then?

Just trying to make a point. I do have favorite fighters and pull for them, but I know that a given moment things can change. I have learned to expect the unexpected while watch matches.
Normally I agree with you, but statistics and history don't favor Ruiz. It's harder to beat a guy twice in a row than it is to beat them in the rubber (third) match. Look at Pac Marquez 2 vs. 3. Many people felt Marquez won the 3rd fight.

Steve Collins is the only fighter I can think of to clearly beat guys back to back (Eubank and Benn), followed by Srisaket (Chocolatito). If Murata pulls it out on Horn, he'll take over Srisaket's place.

I'm not saying Ruiz loses, I'm saying he will likely be tested in the rematch.

Hoping Anthony Johnson doesn't quit this time, so ge can get the beating he deserves.

Sick of him taking a knee, spitting his mouth guard, pulling tape off gloves, hiding behind ref.... everytime someone puts pressure on him.

But they say AJ has lost some of that extra muscle so he could be quicker too.
A slight edge to Ruiz--if the fight were to be fair.
But it won't be. Ref and 2 judges...so Ruiz needs a KO. Ref will hinder that a la Parker vs AJ.
It's a lot to overcome: ref and 2 judges mandating a KO.
                      Boxing...
                      Agree.
I expect this could be the most unfair fight ever seen, since the parker fight.
