But yeah in all seriousness man if you call yourself a gangsta and then get offended when someone calls you a thug....you are a grade-A idiot and/or looking for victim hood status...or what is fairly likely here, you are a psycho/bully and trying to bully someone.

It's like if someone calls himself a pimp and gets offended when someone calls him a player...it's the same thing...it's ******.

If you want to try to spin this into a race thing...that's fine, but that's you doing that, not anyone else...certainly not me.

If all of us that are rolling our eyes over this are so racist...then I wonder why all of us were so sickened by the black man who got fuc.king rocked for no real reason...that doesn't seem like we are very good racists to care about that does it.
Dummy, you still don't get it.

Calling something "gangsta" has nothing to do with being a thug or street. It's just slang for somebody who's brave or courageous at what they do.

    Rhianna called Princess Diana "gangsta"

The pop singer Lana Del Rey calls herself a "gangsta Nancy Sinatra"

Are you gonna try to tell me she's a thug?

And yeah, it is racial because idiots like you are only using that "old Black man" as means to tear down a Black woman who's done nothing but win Olympic gold medals and world championship belts.

You racists have always used the Good Black/Bad Black strategy to try to destroy one Black person's reputation by pitting one Black against another.

This woman's never been arrested or has been accused of any crimes that we know of so far.

There is zero reason to call her a thug or a criminal for any other reason than you are judging her by a classist/racist stereotype

Well honestly if I HAD to give an opinion...and thug was an option for Claressa...then yeah I would say, if the shoe fits...but I don't really have an opinion about her...all I have to go on is what I hear from her, which, let's be honest, she sounds like a thug...she may not be one, but she sounds like one.

I am not judging her by the color of her skin...I am judging her actions/****** talk...I could judge a white person just the same way...I do that sh.it all the time...there are a lot of white people I deal with who I think quite little of, and while they may not be a felon, they certainly use a felon's vocabulary and wardrobe.

And let's see what comes out about that event in question...I am not saying she called for the hit on that guy...but I don't think she is some angel either...I certainly wish her well and hope that she doesn't have any run ins with the law, and has a great career and gives a lot back to her community...maybe that situation will be a wake-up call for her if she was teetering on the line...and to be fair, most black women are not really crime committers...men in general are usually the criminals/thugs out there.

To the bolded part...what happened to judging someone by their actions and not their color? Now I have to say I love and support every black person no matter what they do, or else I am a racist?

I treat people based on their actions...no one gets a pass...if you are black and want to defend her because you feel that connection with her, that's fine...that's how we are wired in a way, I don't judge you for that.

But I'll be damned if someone calls me a racist and says I'm pitting people against each other lol...all I'm doing is saying that her playing the victim card is ridiculous.

And if she was out here speaking like Sugar Ray Leonard...I sure as hell wouldn't think she was some thug...treating people based on how they act is NOT A BAD THING...if people want anything different than that, well I am not signing up for it lol.

That's what all Fox News watching racists say along with "I have a Black friend" & "I don't see race".

          I see you.

You aint named one crime she's committed, yet you're calling her a thug.

She's a fighter. She's supposed to talk tough and intimidate her opponents. That's her job.

And it's not her fault she comes from a poor background. She talks & acts the way poor people do. It doesn't make her a bad person or a thug.

Yeah, you are ignorant and so is your original comment.

You still haven't named 1 crime the woman's committed to deserve being slandered, while Sergey Kovalev has 2 cases with him assaulting women, but I bet you aint calling him a thug

I don't think I made any ignorant comments...and again part of why MLK was so revered by many (of all colors) is his message that he hoped people would be judged by the content of their character and not the color of their skin...people are judging Claressa by her actions and language etc...not her color...well I'm not anyway.

If you want to get on some of these other guys for making racial comments about her that's fine...but you responded directly to my post and made those racial and other comments towards me, so I felt I should respond back to you.

I am not a huge fan of the #metoo movement...unfortunately a lot of women today muddy the water for women who really are/were assaulted...I give any man the presumption of innocence until proven guilty, well if it isn't obvious that he/she is guilty.

I've heard before that Kov probably cheats on his wife, like many athletes...so I think if that is true then he is a sleazy guy for sure and I have no real respect for him there...whether he is just a flirt with women or if it is something more, I am not sure...the facts haven't really all come out yet.

I find it hard to believe he punched a woman in the face...I just don't really believe that based on what I've seen/heard about that.

But yeah again I base my reactions to stuff like that not on the severity of the crime, or necessarily who is accused (if someone is continually accused of something, they could be being set up, but more likely is that in that case, where there is smoke there is fire...so who is accused does matter at times), but based on the evidence.

I don't think Kovalev seems like the best guy in the world but I am not ready to say he is anything worse than the average guy at this point...if more facts come out about the case I reserve the right to change my mind.

Wouldn't really call him a thug even if he was found to be a sexual assaulter etc though...would probably just call him a piece of sh.it.

Oh stop it with the MLK bullshxt.

You already admitted that you wouldn't call Kovalev a thug even though he has TWO different women accusing him of assault, but you'll call a Black woman one who's never been accused of doing anything wrong because she speaks a certain way to promote fights.

Yeah I use words in situations where they are appropriate...just because someone does something bad, it doesn't make them a 'thug'...you have to use the word in an appropriate context...a better example of a 'thug' you could have mentioned who is a white boxer is Khurtside...I would say he is more or less a thug.

Not with what Kovalev is accused of.

2 different women with no knowledge of behavior have accused him of assault, including on an airplane.

He's been recorded making racial remarks.

If you can imply Claressa Shields is a thug because she talks tough in interviews, then the label should apply to him as well
