To call yourself "gangsta" in a hood sense doesn't mean that you're actually a gangster.

Actual gangster's don't call themselves "gangsta", they usually call themselves "real g's" or "real nxggaz" or "goons" or "real ass cats" or something like that.

"Gangsta" in this sense means that she's tough in what she does.

Also, for future reference, to call yourself a "pimp" doesn't necessarily mean you have ladies out on a street corner.

To "pimp" something out can mean to make something better (i.e. Pimp My Ride)

Or it can mean to be really adept or proficient at something, (i.e. "I pimped the game before it pimped me).
