    Anyway, I respect what you said. Fighters shouldn't be called bums. It's wrong to call anyone risking their life to put food on the table a bum.

    Quick question, though.
    What did you think of Benn, Watson, and Eubank?

    Unfortunately, I do not know much about any of them.

      That's what manager said, not Sultan.

        My thoughts exactly.

        I could never even bring myself to call any world class fighter a bum, not even John Ruiz. They are world-class for a reason.

            think of it this way, if you've never laced up the gloves or only punch a heavybag in your life and you were to spar with that "bum" you would get hurt bad. I dont think "bum" is offensive anyways, it a general term used in the boxing world which has been used for decades now. Any Professional Bum though would stretch any poster here thats for sure.

              that may be so, but the fact of the matter is that they wouldnt be filing a protest over the scoring if sultan told them not to do so, it is just bringing bad publicity anyhow and they'll never win any kind of appeal.

              i believe it was this genius boris grinburg who was doing all the tyson comparisons before the fight.

              "they say he is like tyson, maybe a little more technical"

              that statement is beyond hilarious in hindsight. how about a washed up tyson with a lot less technique, less accuracy, less power, less chin, and less footwork

              call me crazy but sultan should find a manager who hasnt completely lost his marbles, and maybe a trainer that isnt a convicted criminal who cant even be in the corner.

                To me a bum is any fighter that comes into the ring and doesn't give his best and try to win a fight.There is nothing wrong with being a journeyman as long as you come into a fight trying to win not just survive and go rounds.

                  i call a basketball player a bum everytime he misses both free throws, i dont think its a big deal either. its a funny word, that gets the point across.

                  we have plenty of posters here who will never rise above "bum" status in my opinion.

                    i very much agree with you -- sultan needs to find another manager; he probably can ask Klichko company to manage him, since he needs a Russian-speaking manager

                    i very much doubt sultan has enough money to hire a better trainer, better sparring partners, etc; and he probably gives much of his purse to the manager in any case;
