Golovkin vs Jacobs rematch at 168

Assuming that Jacobs gets past JCCJR, I think Jacobs deserves the Golovkin rematch. He was robbed in their fight. I’m not one of the fans that dock someone points for fighting off the back foot. Jacobs was landing more power shots, but was moving laterally while Golovkin got an early flash knockdown and outlanded him primarily with jabs.

I like Jacobs better at 168 and I think it’s time Golovkin finally moves up for once. Who would you favor?

Honestly I would want to see it more if people just called the first fight what it was...a surprisingly competitive fight that still had a clear winner in GGG...if we are going to give guys bonus points for fighting close, what's the point...just an invitation to a robbery...let the best man win...and if your guy doesn't win then just call it like you see and give the other guy some props.

Also Danny didn't really come to win vs GGG imo..he came to go 12 rounds...and then against Canelo he didn't really come to win again...he came to fight a good fight...if he isn't really going to go for it, why should he be rewarded with a big fight...I think he needs to earn it a bit more.

And again if Jacobs goes 12 rounds with GGG...he could lose 8-4 again but the same people who said he won the first fight will say he won the second fight...I would prefer to see a fight for both him and GGG where people don't have their cards filled out before the fight.

Btw that Jacobs fight was about as easy to score a competitive fight as I've seen.

1-clear nick to GGG at the end
2- close, nick it to Danny
3 - clearest round so far for GGG
        4 - KD
        5 - clear GGG
6 - maybe some shoe shining by Danny but it was his I think
        7 - close
        8 - GGG
        9 - GGG
        10 - Danny
        11- close
12 - it was over by this point but most would say it was GGG's

Only mentioning the cards since all the judges had the first 10 rounds exactly the same..except 1 gave round 7 to GGG and 2 to Danny...it wasn't even a hard fight to score.

Golovkin got hit way too much without making an error to avoid shots. Jacobs showed more versatility in his style. He fought in the center of the ring, the back foot, landed more power punches, went southpaw, and avoided a good amount of Golovkin’s shots, while Golovkin kept walking forward with a jab getting hit too much.

A lot of Danny's shots are arm shots that don't actually land. He quite literally slaps so many of his shots during his fights. His punch technique is pretty bad at times. You guys act like Danny was straight up teeing off on Golovkin. He didn't start really doing **** until the 2nd half of the fight and even then, it's not like he was dominant. Guys get hit, it's part of the game. Gennady was landing his own shots too and not only jabs.

I’m not giving Jacobs bonus points for lasting 12 rounds. I really think he won the fight.

Jacobs showed more versatility in his style. Not to mention, Jacobs even outboxed him as a southpaw.

I’m a fan of boxing and I don’t see how you can give Golovkin more than 4 rounds since he didn’t show anything besides going head forward and throwing a jab.

Dude all you score in a fight are the punches...this ain't dancing...you are scoring who is landing more and better...you don't score style points or points for one guy if you like his outfit.

Danny got outlanded by 56 punches according to compubox...that's about what I saw too if I wanted to count...he go outlanded in 9 of 11 rounds...1 tie.

                    Got outlanded by 4, 22, 8, 7, and 16 punches in 5 rounds...Danny outlanded him by 5 punches and 2 punches in 2 rounds...GGG outlanded him by 1, 2, 2 and 1 in 4 rounds...one round was even.

That is looking like an 8-4 fight all day based on those numbers.
