that said, he's all done. too much inactivity, too much damage. people close to him say he was literally not even the same dude after the maidana fight. that happens. head trauma is a strange thing. your brain isn't designed to get hit as hard as a puncher like maidana can hit you. ortiz had no answer at all for the right hand but his chin was good neough to get him onto his feet when he was out. lasted several rounds and took bombs. his corner should ahve stopped that fight. yeah, he had success in the 2nd, but it was literally the last hurrah of the prime of his career. he was NEVER THE SAME


i still expect him and rios to right. similar to vargas and mayorga, they'll both be over the hill and overweight, but it won't matter. it's still going to be a fun fight, people who have watched boxing for a while will still tune in. i just hope it's not on PPV like vargas and mayorga, because i'll be streaming it and they won't make a dime from me.
