True boxing fans know that this is an unnecessary, farce of a rematch. Casual fans aren't interested and will probably watch whatever MMA or UFC fight is on that weekend. His fights are not exciting because he fights bums, and he will never fight a real challenger or a unification fight. I've seen him fight almost all of his fights, which is why I am calling a spade, a spade. The arena is NEVER full just like the arena will not be full for this fight either. Don't believe me? Go check the tickets right now hahah. They are actually lowering the prices on them to try to make the arena be fuller. Even then, it won't beComment

Ortiz is older, slower and he looked past it in his last fight. This will be Wilder vs Stiverne II all over again. If Wilder had the balls to face someone good in his career, outside of Ortiz and Fury, then I'd give him props. Or I would at least give him a pass on fighting Ortiz twice. But when you look at his resume, and then see that he's fighting this dude again instead of about 28 guys of the top 30, you see what he is doing. Ducking anyone would has a real chance of beating him. He will never fight Whyte, AJ, DuBois, Ajagba, Joyce or most of the top 30. He will make up an excuse every time. THAT'S why I cannot support this farce of a rematch.Comment

By all means, explain the math on Ortiz getting 7 million in this fight hahahaha. Because, that would mean that Wilder is getting more than Canelo and AJ for this fight. Which is utter nonsense. Showtime refused to air the fight because they knew it would do ridiculously low PPV numbers. The tickets are not selling and they are even lowering the prices to make them sell, which they still aren't. Wilder is not even the main event by himself hahah. He's a co-main event. So how does all of that equal Ortiz getting 7 million?Comment

Either way, I'd love to see Wilder-Ruiz, Wilder-Joshua, Ruiz-Ortiz and Joshua-Ortiz. But if Ruiz wins, it's a clearer path to undisputed because he'll likely file for exceptions with the WBO and IBF to skip their mandatories. If Joshua wins, it's back to business as usual, offering flat fees for the big fights while he and Hearn rake in the rest.Comment

Ruiz was desperate for a shot, so he took it. But this is why Hearn fails to make the big fights. He offers these ridiculously skewed contracts so that even if you beat Joshua, you still only get a flat fee, while he and Joshua snag the bulk of the proceeds. In this case, he and Joshua make over $40 million each, while Ruiz only gets $10 million.
