So according to you. Any fighter in his weight class he chooses not to fight, he’s ducking ? Fanboi please. You act as if WMJ was some elite killer

Did you not read the article? They didnt want anything to do with monroe. Hes definitely not an "elite killer" but he was good enough to outbox/clown canelo which is why they avoided it. Dont know why your so hurt

People come up with really, really weird interpretations for how to determine P4P, just so they can pretend that their favourite fighters are better than they really are. Promoters and other organisations do the same thing, because they have a vested ($$$) interest in pushing that kind of story.

          P4P is simple.

If weight wasn't a factor, who would be the best boxer? Who would win the most if they had to fight everyone, if weight wasn't a factor?

When people stop trying to twist this around, stop trying to warp what P4P is into being what they want it to be instead, it is really simple.

That's why Canelo is not P4P #1, nor #2. Because, P4P, he is not the most skilled, and would not win the most fights.

Actual boxing fans don't need that kind of thing to be explained to them.

            Marquez is correct

No way giftnelo is any better than #3. And a winner over a cherry does not make you go higher in p4p. A cherry is a cherry.

I could go on. P4P#1 should put on dominating displays against mandatorys and vulnatories winning by wide unanimous decisions or KOs. This is not Canelo!
I agree with this. All Canelos biggest fights were controversial except Jacobs. So thats 1 clear great win.

But i have no problem with Canelo moving up the p4p list after the Kov win even though it was an obvious cherry pick!

Really? I’ll wait for you to quote me because you can’t. See maricon, unlike you I’ve caught you on repeated lies such as “you had GGG winning the 1st fight” then lying on NSB that Canelo won to jump on the Canelo bandwagon. I’ve never said GGG would KO Canelo but keep lying since you can’t seem to get lies straight. Quoted in case you forgot photo. Saludos Maricon. 🇲🇽🇲🇽

Ok. You convinced me. You’re right, Alvarez will always be remembered as the guy who RAN from WMJ

His best win is completely unifying his division at 140.

Now, I agree his resume leaves much to be desired, but there's a reason on 4 people in history have done it. It's hard to do.

                    • i hate to agree on this but this is true.

back then i heard the interview on the radio and iirc, canelo wanted to meet in the middle? arguing that if marquez went up for mayweather knowing he didn't had a chance then why didn't he do it again for him.

at the the time canelo needed marquez much more than marquez canelo.

this move by canelo and co. was perceived badly because marquez was already to old and canelo to young.

i personally felt canelo was wrong because he was very disrespectful to a boxing veteran like marquez.

and also at the time he DID felt like a televisa hype job the same as chavez jr a tvazteca hype job.

both were considered hype jobs by mexican with boxing knowledge.
