Ok. You can’t be too dominant when your fighting top competition. They’re elite for a reason. Which is For the most part what Alvarez has been fighting. But let’s be real. Loma is NOT fighting tough competition. Just because you’re fighting the best available in your division doesn’t mean you’re fighting top competition. Inoue Just got tested and had a really hard fight with Donaire. Let’s see how he does against the top guys in the division.

Doesn't p4p mean dominant in your weight class.... Canelo didn't fight the best champion at 154 (Lara, Charlo, Andrade) fought Lara at 155 and many believe that he lost. Did fight the Boogeyman at 160 which I do believe he lost the first. Hasn't fought no one competitive at 168 Chavez Jr dehydrated at 164 and Rocky (I don't think it matters for Chavez he would've lost) and Kovalev was rehydrated, over trained and not in the good side of 36
Now let's look at Canelos great opponents; his resume:
Mosley 39yrs (way past his prime)
      Trout 28 (prime)
Mayweather 36yrs (good side of 36 not prime)
      Lara 31yrs (prime, controversial win)
      Cotto 35yrs (past his prime)
Khan 28yrs(prime but moved up 2 divisions and glass jaw)
Chavez Jr 32yrs (prime but weight drained)
GGG1 35yrs (good side of 35 but not prime, controversial draw)
      GGG2 36yrs(good side of 36 not prime)
      Jacobs 33yrs (prime)
Kovalev 36yrs (past his prime and rehydration clause)

And whole career he's fought vs 3 prime fighters, in 7 Catch-weights fights (152, 155 & 164), 3 rehydration clause fights (Rocky, Jacobs & Kovalev) and was tested positive for clenbenterol

Make up ur minds canelo fans.
There’s a difference between being a good fighter and fighting top competition and being a good fighter who is fighting low level competition. Which is what GGG did for most of his career. And some current fighters like Charlo and Andrade are doing. So there is a difference.

So a no losses is is the reason crawford is elevated over canelo, but Lomo gets a pass for his loss to a straight journeyman.

Canelo lost to Floyd Mayweather when he was what? 23?

Give me a break, Canelo's resume is far beyond Crawford and Lomo's combined, Marquez is just salty because Canelo is a bigger star, and a better fighter than he ever was.
You guys will never ****ing understand Pound for Pound because you guys don’t ****ing understand boxing.

If Loma and Canelo fought RIGHT NOW... Magically they were the exact same weight... Loma would defeat him. THATS what pound for pound means.

This forum is complete dog **** because of you internet ****ing millennials who have never stepped foot in a boxing gym.

Crawford and Lomachenko are absolutely better fighters than Alvarez but he is accomplishing more than both. Anyway p4p is subjective so anybody is free to place who they want at the top spot

Lomachenko dominated Gary Russell Jr., who’s a top 15-20 p4p type fighter.

He dominated Jorge Linares, who was a borderline top 10 p4p fighter at the time they fought.

He dominated Guillermo Rigodeaux who was a borderline top 10 p4p fighter at the time they fought.
